Requests were taken care of . Staff was very receptive.

Staff was great. Rooms need a bit of upgrading. Bed and pillows were ok but a bit too soft. Room had an odd odor, not sure if it was a spray they use but it wasnt pleasant. Daily service for towels was very nice. The grounds outside were very enjoyable. Breakfast had a good selection and the woman who cooked and served was very accommodating as to preparing eggs. Location is great for getting around.

Excellent location for a weekend to enjoy the sights and sounds of Aiken! Beautifully furnished room, large bathroom, nice seating area outside of room, and nicely landscaped common areas. Parking was ample and staff was very cordial.

We had a very nice visit at The Cartiage House Inn. We chose the property because of its close proximity to The Amentum Center downtown Aiken where we attended a show. Easy check-in, quick and simple. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was, very clean and well decorated. We love that it is a historical building that maintains its quaintness with really nice classical decor. Staff very friendly, atmosphere very calm and quiet, and the complimentary breakfast was great. Would definitely book to stay there again!

Context matters. The city of Aiken has a pre-Civil War history but really became known as a “resort” for wealthy folk from the North who came South to play, including riding horses, and golf. The Carriage Inn cannot be separated from this history and in a manner of speaking, to be successful, has to contribute physically. It does so remarkably well. You feel the underpinning context when you open the front door and are taken back to another time by the organization of space and the furniture that defines it. The sense of purpose as a statement to the historical context is evident throughout the original house. I was very comfortable and for my brief stay, rewarded with a definable sense of joy.

We loved our stay at the Carriage House Inn. The room was on the larger size and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable with a couple of spare pillows and blankets in the closet. If there was one thing I would change it would be to add blackout blinds. The makeup remover pads were nice touch as was the daily replenishment of the soaps and towels. The included breakfast was very tasty with a selection of breads, juice and cereals and the freshly cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon and sliced watermelon. The gardens and patio area were well kept and peaceful to sit in and ponder your day. The inn is in a great position and you can walk to just about everything. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

I've stayed here twice. The location is central to Aiken making everything walkable. The staff are fantastic- they go above and beyond with every request. The rooms are very clean and updated, It is an older inn, so it has the nuances and creaks of an older structure which I love.

Everything about the Carriage House made our stay in Akin awesome!!!

Neat vintage hotel right in the middle of Aiken. Easy walk to restaurants. Clean and the breakfast was good.
-
Amazing property. 10 out of 10 place

Everything thing was really nice, but the room had a strange odor.

Great, quaint hotel and a great price! Worth every penny!

The location of this historic Inn is so convenient to Bruce’s field, the equestrian site. It’s also very nice to be able to stroll the sidewalks of Aiken right out the front door. The staff was very accommodating and the kitchen is run by the most capable person. Breakfast is always a pleasure. The rooms are comfortable and clean. In this case you get what you pay for, well worth the few extra dollars.

Older historic property (main house) that is nice with charming outside sitting areas. Bedroom was ok with some electrical issues, clean but a little musty. Our room had its own A/C but upstairs hallway was somewhat hot. Breakfast was included and staff were very nice but non-carbohydrate options (bacon, eggs, etc.) were microwaved within a good size kitchen..not the best. Downtown location was perfect with other nice meal options. Parking was easy on main street.

Amazing location and nice little room. We enjoyed the breakfast and exploring the furnishings in the main house. Would definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend staying at the Carriage House. The property, room and main interior were so clean and the furniture was tastefully decorated. Everything was in great condition. The bathroom was immaculate and stocked with anything you need. Our morning breakfasts were very good and the chef was very kind and caring. Its location was right in the heart of Aiken. We were able to walk to everything in downtown. The staff was very inviting and were willing to help make our stay very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful with landscaping, seating and water fountain. The Carriage House is the only place I’d stay in Aiken!

Home run!! We will be returning to this place every time in the future. Be sure to go to the aiken museum. We have been to a lot of m useome.and this topped them all. We'll presented and arranged very logically. Returning to beautiful and unique setting of the Carriage House put us into the environment of an earlier, unhurried time of the old south. We had never heard of the term Winter Colony before........now we know!!

Parking is limited but they are very accommodating.
