Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Albany Downtown

Staff was amazing, as usual. The key card did not work the first time we tried and they were absolutely apologetic and even sent a staff member back up with us to ensure the key worked that time. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Love the location as we are able to walk to any event we go to. Love this place! Only inconvenience and not a complaint, was there was only one elevator working. Again not a huge deal, just gave us a chance to meet some new people while we waited.

I didn’t have breakfast I slept in, I like that the rooms had a fridge & microwave However, I was given the wrong bed size so I had to go back and remind them to give me the correct bed size I paid for. Also, in the new room it didn’t have an iron and I called for one and staff brought it up right away. My room had a fire place beautiful fire place and working. Over all I would give this a 4 out of 5 experience

The breakfast was amazing. The room was exceptional. My kids were impressed with the glass shower. The front desk clerk was truly a blessing to my boys and myself. Parking options. We had to park in the middle of the street as there is no parking lot and the spaces out front were all filled.

I wish I could remember the Staffs names but every staff member was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable about the hotel and surrounding area. The room was spotless. The bed was cloud soft. Everything was wonderful. Your team deserves a lot of praise for how well maintained the hotel is and how special they make the guests feel.

Location was great, staff was friendly/helpful, hotel very clean! Very tiny window in room. No parking. Parking garage was a couple blocks away.

The visit started off well with helpful employees. I was there four nights and working from my room for two days and did not want the room cleaned. On the third day, I had a speaking engagement so I removed the "do not disturb" sign and expected to have a clean and refreshed room after being gone for 9 hours. Well it wasn't cleaned by 4:30 PM when I returned. I called and was told that I was "next on the list". The girl came and told me that I had to leave the room so she could clean it. I could not even sit at the desk and work on my computer. I had been gone all day speaking and was tired. When I refused to leave, she refused to clean the room or refresh the towels or replenish the supplies. I called the front desk two more times and with no assistance. Also, I would not have said anything about this but now I will - the washing machine was out of service with a promise to have it possibly repaired before I left. The safe did not work and was told they were all being replaced next month. There was mold in the ceiling of the shower. I won't stay there again.

Great stay, great staff and awesome location. We visited the Vault next door and had an amazing dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

Great breakfast and very polite staff with parking in front or in garage around the corner. The location is so convenient located downtown right off the highway. The manager and staff were particularly helpful !

The room was ok, pretty basic, but the A/C did not work - it was 78° in the room, and the bathroom sink drain was stopped up with hair that had never been cleaned. The staff was friendly enough and the breakfast was about what you would expect.

They have no parking so you have to hope theres an open meter, then walk from there. No valet. The key didnt work, multiple times. If youre not a fan of tight spaces, dont take their tiny elevator, but theres stairs. Rooms are small, and dont expect any view from the dirty windows. If you go to a show, dont expect to do food delivery after. No one delivers there.

great location, no complaints

The staff was amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. This was our first trip to Albany and they gave great restaurant recommendation. I wish we had more time to check out all they had to offer. My son had to be at his tournament early, so we had to leave before breakfast started and they offered him fresh fruit and cereal for the road! I thought that was so kind!

check in was after 3pm we arrived at 345pm then were told the room was not ready and would be 10 minutes but was another hour and 10 minutes before we got the room card then the room card wouldnt work to open the door go back down to the desk to get another card back to the room finally get in and the room smelled like cigarette smoke we dont smoke so that was awful for us the tv was crooked on the wall and the view from the window was a rooftop with a dead animal and a blank wall . And getting back to check in while we were waiting for the room to be ready 40 other people checked in and got their room right away. No real good place to park at the hotel they dont offer parking except on the street was able to park in a garage 2 blocks away and was only 12.00$ . we checked out by 930am 1st trip to albany and probably will be our last .

Room was clean. Bedding pillows were not comfortable. There is a 15 minute pick up/ drop off space in front of hotel -convenient Parking in Green St ramp about a block away. Reasonable rates. ( mid July). Breakfast available.
