Exceptional

I like that the property had both a pool and a hot tub although I didn't end up using the pool. I also like the gym even though it was small no one else was in there at any point that I used it and they had plenty of equipment for me to use. All of the staff were polite and friendly. The hotel smelled clean and free the mildew smell that a lot of hotels end up getting in them over time. The only exception to this was in the gym area but I suspect this is due to the gym being right next to the pool area. Breakfast had plenty of different options to choose from and they seem to switch some of the varieties every other day so if you say 2 nights there were different breakfast options both days. I would have like to see brochures on things to do though. Its a little outdated but they are nice to look at.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our weekend visit! Our room was very clean and comfortable! We especially liked that the room was spacious and that the bathroom was well stocked with amenities and was also very large. No tight spaces! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was hot and delicious! We will definitely stay with Holiday Inn Express again!

This was one of the most well maintained and cleanest holiday inn express that we have stayed. Very easy access of the highway and in a nice area. Would definitely recommend this place

I liked all the thoughtful amenities. The bathroom was stocked with Dove products, rather than a brand nobody has ever heard of. I also appreciate the ability to get coffee freshly brewed in the lobby 24 hours a day. The breakfast was better than many other hotels, and the fact that this hotel provided an option to take a bag with you (for those who have to get on the road quickly) was very hospitable. The small details, such as the bagels and muffins being individually wrapped for this very purpose is much appreciated.

Even though we didn't spend a lot of time at Holiday Inn Express or enjoy was the amenities we like the location. We went to the NASCAR races in Newton Iowa. We like the size of the rooms.

Rooms were nice. Only thing missing was a Keurig.

I’m surprised this property has an average of 9 because you can hear everything in your room and it has a lot of imperfections that need updated. I would rate this property a 7.
