Motel 6 Amarillo, TX - West

Stayed here because of their dog friendly policy. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Happy to stay at a place that had friendly staff, a cheap room and right off the freeway!

Room was clean, staff were mostly nice, AC, fridge, and linens were good. The housekeeper stopped and stared in my window which was a bit weird. It is very loud due to nearby property blasting music and a fire dept across the street. Internet is not great so if you plan to work, plan to use your own Starlink. AT&T has 2 bars. Location is good for nearby restaurants, but you have a lot of hwy noise. They were out of poo bags for dogs so no one was picking up their dog poo.

Room had spiders and bugs in it. Smelled so bad. Major cigarette burns on furnishings, linens and fixtures, even though we were told it was newly remodeled. So close to the freeway, that’s all you hear all night. Staff was helpful, but property definitely didn’t feel safe.

Looking for a place for a quick nights rest. It was close to I -40 and the price was reasonable. Room was clean very basic. Served it’s purpose

Construction around motel. Went to eat, came back late to room, pull back covers seen bugs in bed. Took pictures of bugs and googled them. Google said were bed bug lava. Also tub and back of door had hair on them. Went to front desk wouldn't give a refund. Would not recommend staying at this motel.

Great place

Great customer service. Updates/remodel to property in process. Clean.

They're in the middle of a revamp; painting, patching, fixing. Once done, it will look great! The staff was friendly and wonderful.

We didn’t end up staying. The parking lot had active drug use going one, cats every where and just not a safe feeling.

It smelled like cigarettes and didn’t feel very clean

They were in the middle of a remodel, so it was a bit different of a stay, but the rooms were excellent, they allowed my two big dogs with no hesitation, and the staff was absolutely amazing, even when we needed to extend our checkout into later that day! 3:00 pm to be exact! They were incredible! Def will stay there again!

More room for parking

Very dirty, outdated, and bugs

Took one look at room and knew instantly I would not stay. Beds were thin and hard. Orange walls. Kind of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe. Obviously never updated. Paint chipped off outside walls in large chunks. Outside parking lot had at least one Jason wearing a mask, waiting for nightfall. And this place has a 7.2 rating? You’re better off sleeping in a booth at the nearby Waffle House.

The property is in a location that wasn't the most appealing. Few eating options and since it was being renovated, the presentation was just OK. But for one night, it worked. The highlight was the helpfulness of the staff. Kerrie was the desk attendant and she was able to put us in a convenient and clean room. She deserved a 5/5.

Our stay was a pleasant one. We were able to get a good night's sleep.

Very poorly maintained property with dead bugs in the room, stained towels, dirty bedding, apparent prostitute and drug activity, and a bathroom door that had seemingly been kicked at one point and never repaired. Definitely a thrilling stay but not one that I would recommend. Lady at the front desk was nice though.
