The Route 66 Motel was a great throw back! Clean rooms, nice bed, fridge, microwave, clean bathroom. Clean property though abandoned hot water heaters and tubs sat along the back side of the first row of rooms. Gated, though not closed, felt safe in a questionable part of town. I blame the city for this. Had to ring bell 3 times to get in front desk area, not sure it was ever open. Staff was nice and helpful though. I'll stay again if I need my kicks on Route 66. Beautiful out front signage to.

We did not stay there as it was nasty with badly stained mattresses on the room walkway! Would like a full refund since we did not stay there. Thank you!

Staff was very nice and helpful, this is my 2nd stay here and I've enjoyed it both times. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Amarillo.🙂

Stayed here 2 nights for a route 66 road trip. Pillows were hard, beds are very high, to the point I was worried about kids rolling off and getting hurt at night. There were 2 very warm blankets on bed, too hot to sleep under with very loud struggling a/c that would not stay on set temperature. The coffee pot had very visible calcium deposits in so I didn't use it. The room was reasonably clean, but the discomfort of horrible sleep ruined the stay.

The motel was old but very clean and helpful staff. rooms smelled clean and were spacious.
-
It was an economical, quaint, retro hotel. The bed was very comfortable. But watch out for the tall speed bump!

Granddaughter traveled with us and was scared because you could see out the crack in the door. Just felt uneasy.
-
Yes, this is in an older part of town and on a noisy road, but our room was surprisingly quiet and very clean and comfortable and everything worked well - we appreciated the large refrigerator. The property itself is very well-kept and the rooms have been renovated but not in any overly plastic way like at a Motel 6. There was good water pressure and drainage in the shower. We're happy we've discovered this place!

Clean rooms, decent amenities like in room coffee, fridge and microwave. Very comfy bed, and low price!
-
Nice, clean room with decent amount of space for a family. Great stop for our Route 66 travels.

The television didn’t work so well. Had to use our phones to stream tv
-
Super clean! Easy to check in and out, we felt very safe.
-
Good location and price.

This motel is in an unsafe and unsavory neighborhood. There was a bathtub and various other debris outside our room. It appeared that some of the “guests” were actually residents. We took one look at the mold in the bathroom and left the premises.

The facility on the outside looks a little dated. But the rooms are clean. Comfortable. The towels were not scratchy and the beds were wonderful! The AC worked well and wasn't noisy and rattling like most hotels. Check in was fast easy and pleasant. While the staff is quiet and doesn't say much they are accommodating and effective. Highly recommend this hotel!

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Cute little, well maintained motel. Too good for the neighborhood.

Air conditioning not cooling and gave more noise
