Location The elevators did not work for the most part. We had to wait long times even if there were no other guests there. Some of the elevators didn't work at all. My room was to have t to makewo king beds and a pullout sofa bed. It did not have the pullout sofa bed when I went to the front desk to ask them about it. There was no service to get another bed. Put into the room I asked for room service to come in. And take care of the towels no one came that was just the first day they did bring to bed the second day. But still, no service for towels and cleaning the trash filled up over the the time that we were there, the three or four times I asked for service to come up. And take care of the room. Nobody came up. I did have the resort fees removed from my bill. Most of the restaurants were not opened, and the ones that were were understaffed. Security was wonderful. They were very nice and helpful. Front desk was very helpful with what they could help with. When we left, we had dirty towels everywhere. Because nobody came and picked them up and we four days and three nights worth of trash in our room. It was quite uncomfortable.

The event I attended was located at the hotel. The room did not look anything like the pictures. 1. There was no coffee pot in the room. Even after confirming through direct messages that there would be. When I asked at the front desk if I could get one, was told simply that the room I paid for did not offer a coffee machine and they will not provide one even after showing the message stating otherwise. I bought stuff that now had to be refrigerated and take up space because I couldn't use it. 2. Half the outlets in the room did not work. 3. The room walls and headboard were dirty and looked like stuff was splashed on the walls and never cleaned up. 4. The room view is nothing like the pictures. It shows an outside view of the ocean, not a dirty big window that doesn't even open. 5. We were locked out from the elevator with the keys before our paid extended checkout time. So then we had to waste time at the desk (20 minutes in line)to have the keys reset. 6. The ice machine did not work on my floor. I was not going up 5 floors up to get ice. 7. There was also no hairdryer in the room, and in the description of the room amenities, it was listed. I am not pleased with my stay at all, and I would appreciate some type of compensation for my inconveniences. . I paid a lot of money to stay for what I thought was gonna be a beautiful pleasant stay and it was not.

We stayed at a junior suite which was spacious, clean and well equipped. The rooms need some TLC but I was overall happy with my stay. This is a family resort so there are many kids.

For years I have always enjoyed the location and facilities of the Showboat. It is family oriented and was always a comfortable easily accessed hotel. My daughter enjoyed the Lucky Snake Arcade. Everything I always did was in that immediate area. It was always an excellent place to come and relax at an affordable price with things to do for my teenage child. I booked 2 rooms. The first room was fine and I checked the 2nd room and it had a gagging smell. I asked to have the room changed because I felt it had not been cleaned. I saw the table was not wiped and I was disgusted. I was told I had to wait for housekeeping to check it. After about 15 minutes the room was changed. After that, I began to notice many animals. I had never noticed animals at the Showboat in my prior stays. The rugs are stained. As I have no problem if you are going to allow pets, you must clean more frequently and shampoo the carpets. People that don't have pets should not have to stay in the wing of the people bringing pets. People in general can be lazy to not clean after their pets but it is appalling to see the rugs and smell the smells of the Orleans Tower. I probably will not stay here again.
