The name is deceiving. This is absolutely NOT a HOTEL! THIS IS A HOSTEL. The rooms are bare minimum furnished, which is fine, but bathrooms and showers are SHARED by everyone staying there. No where did I read this information on Hotels.com. THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Parking was tough, until we realized there was a public parking lot across the street from this place. When we arrived, there was a key code lock which required us to call to get a text with our needed codes to enter and get our key. THERE ARE NO STAFF, ANYWHERE, IN THIS PLACE! It took a half an hour to receive the text after calling them TWICE. I was traveling with my son, but if I were alone, I would DEFINITELY question my safety in this place! Some of the tenants live here! Two were outside while we waited for the text. One was drunk and the other talked non-stop about his woes. When we finally entered, we just wanted to get a shower and go to bed. When I realized this was a hostel, I was furious. Unless those showers get cleaned immediately after each use, I'm not using them. AND REMEMBER, THERE ARE NO STAFF ON PREMISES. That night was sheer torture. The other tenants were either partying or loudly stomping in and out to have their smokes. We got NO SLEEP. We left at 3:30 am to catch our flight. I will NEVER recommend this place. HOSTELS ARE NOT HOTELS, SHOULD NEVER BE REFERRED TO AS HOTELS, NOR SHOULD THEY HAVE "HOTEL" IN THEIR NAME!!!

Basic, noisy , no available staff to sort issues

I guess we were unfamiliar with the self service microtel concept, so we were a bit shocked. On the whole, everything we really needed was present. A place in the room to plug in USB-C cables to charge stuff would have been a good thing. Whatever wifi streaming setup the TV was using was unwatchable. I thought the booking site mentioned breakfast, but all there was was coffee. On the whole, the microtel concept is not a bad idea....but the price difference between it and nearby economy motels, such as Super 8 or Motel 6, should be more. At $50-$75/night in the Bozeman market, this would have been a setup I would pick over an economy chain motel. At $116/night, having to stand out in the street and text someone for the door code and have a just barely what we need experience without in-room bathrooms is a bit.....no.

I guess I should have looked into this more. Wasn't expecting just a room. The shared bathroom was gross. No window in the room. Paper thin wall amd got woken up very early. The sink in the bathroom was discusting when I went to use it in the morning.

The room was fine enough, but I was not expecting no bathroom and the inability to change the temperature of my room. When I arrived it was freezing and that night got extremely warm, but I was unable to modify the temperature. I think the worst part of the stay was the fact it was over $150 for one evening and the noise was out of control. It must be the location airline staff stays out since it's close to the airport, because I was woken up at 3:30 am and kept awake until 6:30 am while people were slamming doors, using the shared bathrooms, wheeling suitcases down the halls, talking in the lobby and coming in and out of the property. I got absolutely no sleep and there's no insulation whatsoever to quiet some of the noise. For that reason, given the price, I can't say I'd recommend here if you need a good nights sleep and want your own restroom to get ready.

Clean friendly safe private and sanitary. We enjoyed the shared space while also finding security with the innovative code system protecting guests from outside invasive political pacs.

Enjoyed this hotel. Cute, clean, affordable rooms. Easy to check in at anytime if you follow the detailed instructions. You can arrive late and just check yourself in or call the owner/manager for help. She responded quickly when I called. Tons of parking across the street. Restaurants and nice bars along the street make it easy to get a bite to eat or a drink nearby. One reason I chose it was because of how close it is to the airport. Literally took us 6 minutes to get to the airport for our morning flight. The hotel rooms were clean and the extra pullout couch was good for my son to sleep on. The hotel has a bit of a hostel feel because the bathrooms are common bathrooms, but there are many of them near the rooms, they were clean, and stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a common kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and stove. There were also a couple of living room areas where you could sit and relax outside your room if you chose to. I also appreciated the washer/dryer available (there are two of each) which didn’t require exact change. You could just put a few bucks in a drop box to use the machines. Be aware that you should bring your own liquid detergent if you do. I used some laundry sheets and they seemed to work well. Nice to be able to do laundry after spending 8 days camping in Moab, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons. If you’re doing a south to north Yellowstone trip, Bozeman and this hotel make a perfect last stop before your flight home.

The perfect stay! So clean and easy to come and go!
-
The only thing I could complain about is that there were no windows in the room.
-
So close to the airport! Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean!

First off, there was a lot of parking and instructions into the building were easy. The linens smelled so fresh and clean, and had no affect on my super sensitive skin. Lastly, I forgot one of my items in the room. They were quick to text me and even held it for a few days until I could return. Staff is 10/10!

As per price,it was ok.

Sharing Bathroom

I did like The Outpost. I did not know it was a micro hotel when I booked it. It was surprising to learn the toilet and showers were shared. It reminded me of dorms in college. But, it was clean and a good price. Plus I felt safe in staying overnight before leaving for my long drive the next day.

Staff are off site from what I could tell. Is a decent single night pass through stay. Shared bathrooms down the hall with showers and the like. Think dorm room set up rather than hotel. Room was clean but industrial feel and cramped, especially having no bathroom.
-
Place was nice. Kinda strange that the bathrooms were community bathrooms and not in room. More dorm style.

The Outpost is a very basic Hotel experience, as the bathrooms and showers are outside the sleeping rooms. However, it is very clean and everything works well. The Outpost is a renovated downtown brick building in the old time Mountain town of Belgrade (the Belgrade airport is the main airport for Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park). The rooms are very clean with sinks and TVs. There are community areas with TVs and cooking equipment. The staff is very friendly. The restaurants and bars in Belgrade are a short walk away. I recommend "The Mint" for dinner. In the morning go the "The New Day Bakery" for coffee and a Cinnamon Roll. This is my 2nd time staying at the Outpost and I will return again. I recommend the Outpost.

Remarkably new and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Pizza restaurant on premises was great!

I would definitely stay again. The only thing was that you can hear everything. That's not the fault of the place, rather just a design aspect of the building. Bathrooms and showers were clean, kitchen was accessible and equipped with enough items to heat food. Mattress was softer than the hotel I stayed at in Billings, and that was nice. Staff was super helpful. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
