How Group Hotel Rates Work in Bloomington
Hotels in Bloomington with the room count for group hotel booking are listed here by how often groups have booked them through Engine, then by size. For 9 or more rooms on the same dates, you can request a group quote through Engine Groups. These properties work for team travel, training cohorts, tournaments, company events, or any organization moving a group to Bloomington.
When booking rooms for a group in Bloomington, a hotel quotes a rate for a block of 9 or more rooms rather than offering the public rate. The block holds those rooms for your group until a cutoff date, after which travelers are assigned to their rooms. You can search, compare, and book these hotels on Engine. For 9 or more rooms, Engine Groups handles the room-block booking; 8 or fewer rooms is self-serve. Properties like the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington with 256 rooms and Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Airport Mall of America with 200 rooms regularly accommodate traveling groups.
Frequently asked questions
How does billing work for group hotel booking in Bloomington through Engine?
Engine handles consolidated invoicing for your group stay, so you receive one invoice instead of tracking multiple charges. You can choose from multiple payment options to fit your organization's workflow. There is no membership fee to use Engine.
How does a room block work and why does the cutoff date matter?
When you book a room block, the hotel holds the rooms for your group until a cutoff date, typically a few weeks before arrival. After the cutoff date, any unreserved rooms are released back to the hotel's inventory. You assign travelers to rooms within the block before that deadline to ensure everyone has a room.
How far ahead should I request a room block in Bloomington during a busy period?
If your group is traveling during a tournament, convention, or another event that draws visitors to the area, request your room block as early as possible. Hotels near Mall of America and the airport fill quickly during peak periods. Booking several months in advance gives you better availability and more options.
What is a group rate and how does it work?
A group rate is the price the hotel quotes for your entire room block instead of charging the public rate for each room individually. The hotel provides this rate when you submit your request for 9 or more rooms for the same dates. The rate applies to all rooms in your block.
What should I compare when choosing a hotel for a group in Bloomington?
Compare room count to make sure the hotel can accommodate your group, and check the brand if your travelers have preferences. Look at distance from downtown, free breakfast, free parking, shuttle service, and guest ratings. The comparison table on this page shows these details for each hotel.
Why don't you show rates for these hotels?
