Loved the small details that set this property apart from other downtown Boise hotels!

We loved this historical old hotel. The pillows & bed were very comfy and the shower was wonderful. The only complaint I would have is that the TV did not work very well. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is right downtown so everything was walkable ,we would definitely go back again.

Very cool hotel in downtown

I didnt expect to have to pay 30 dollars for parking. Bar was nice but the restaurant wasnt my type of menu which was no biggie. It was lamb duck rabbit. But was very nice area. But there is alot to do around the hotel and it is very pretty at night there.

Fun, funky, and cool. Historical yet modern. Amazing location, and the staff could not have been any nicer.

Location was perfect, close to a Speakeasy called Ampersand which had phenomenal drinks. The oldest steakhouse in Boise Chandlers is also within a block. We valeted our car cause there was no need of it with everything being so walkable. The restaurant breakfast crushed it as well. The bathroom showers were amazing and the bed was plush. Our room was smaller and we didn’t have a view but this was our first stay so I can’t speak to the other rooms. At the end of the day it’s a historic hotel that was incredibly well done with a lot of character but space isn’t something they had a lot of. Highly recommend.

When we got to our room and opened the blinds they looked out on a brick wall that was probably 6 feet away. Seems like they should alert you to “no view” rooms. The WiFi password was stamped on the back of the key envelope, but wasn’t identified so we had to call. The valet parking is $30. When the valet brought our car at check out, he handed us the key, took the tip and walked away - no help with our bags. It’s a cool old building, and good location, but could do better.

My room was TINY. I haven’t had a hotel room this small since I was in Japan 14 years ago. There was a bed and barely enough room to walk around it. There is a counter/desk in the corner that gets full pretty quick. The coffee maker, mugs, etc are jammed into two drawers - it’s not easy to pry the coffee maker out. No dresser or drawers for clothes. I felt like I was living on a boat. The AC doesn’t work so well (surprising given the few square feet it needs to cool) and they provide a fan. Pro-tip: :keep the bathroom door closed. Valet parking is $30/day with no access - I went two blocks away for $21 so I could get into my vehicle when needed. The good: very good location , nice hotel, nice amenities, and the staff I interacted with was very good. The only thing that kept me from a 3 star rating was access to a nearby gym (fitness), that is very nice.

Beautifully appointed room, friendly helpful staff, great location, staff and food at Tiners were great.

I have stayed at the Avery before. It is location location for me because it is close to the events that I attend and I don't want to drive at night. It is cozy and quiet. On sight parking is limited. They have valet parking, metered street parking, and parking garages. I parked in the garage about 5 minutes away which was no big deal to me. Not a typical modern hotel but for my once aa year treat, I don't mind splurging for The Avery.

Beautiful property and gorgeous room. Parking was tricky in that the “paid parking” lot wasn’t clearly identified. Street parking is also paid during the day but you have to be on top of it, so that’s never fun if you have aren’t wanting to keep track of setting an alarm. My only reason for truly taking a star away was because I couldn’t control the temperature in my room. The thermostat was locked, no way to adjust it to be warmer or cooler and there were weird fluctuations in the night when it was cold and then oddly hot. It would’ve been nice to have air flowing in the day and utilized the air or heat at night.

Beautiful hotel, well located.

Great location.

Great historic hotel in heart of downtown. Lots of dining (including in Avery), bars (ditto, with terrific wood and mirror bar back), and coffee choices nearby. Avery staff took excellent care and attention to a special wine bottle shipment I sent ahead for special occasion.

Nice Boutique Hotel. Rooms are a bit small but that is expected in a downtown old hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking around the area is Paid Parking.
-
lovely hotel, with a fabulous restaurant and pub in a great downtown location.
