Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Anna Maria Sound

Things we liked: the staff was fantastic! (Especially Nya) The breakfast was great! There was always a good variety of food. The location is so convenient. The hotel was very clean. The hotel is starting to show some age. There were busted and chipped floor tiles that had not been repaired. There were a few places showing water damage in the ceilings. The shower controls in our room felt like they were about to fall apart.

The full breakfast on a morning was good ! A choice of bars on an evening Very very cold pool so didn’t go in as much as we wanted to Not many charging points in the room actually working

Cleanliness Nothing

Just a few things I noticed which could be improved. Shower pressure in our room wasn’t strong enough, seal around shower some discoloration. Few lounge beds at pool were broken (screws missing), should he remove to repair or replaced. Some maintenance required around the pool area.

Clean and nice staff

Very nice and economical place to stay that is close to the beach. Nice swimming pool with a tiki bar right next door. Nice breakfast that is included and free parking to boot. I recommend this hotel!!!

Mi papá de 81 años de edad se cayó en el lobby frente a la recepción a los ojos de todos los empleados que estaban allí presentes, la explicación de la recepcionista, fue que las puertas principales del hotel AUTOMÁTICAS estaban en modo “seguridad” solo para que cerraran y no para que abrieran, las puertas cerraron con tanta fuerza que tumbaron a mi padre al piso. He mandado más de 5 email al hotel y no he obtenido ningúna respuesta.

I loveMargartaville properties! The atmosphere the smell is wonderful! And I love Anna Maria Island!

We stayed two nights. After the first night we began seeing a ton of bug bites. When checking the bed for bugs we found them to be heavily stained both the mattress and base. They moved us to another room and it also had a stained bed. We were so exhausted that we stayed in the dirty bed. The next morning management was supposed to refund one of our two nights and the resort fees. We shall see if they actually follow through. Bottom line is they put us in two rooms both of them had dirty beds and we’re leaving with a ton of bites that have yet to be identified… Definitely bug bites that we did not have before staying at this Hotel. Management told me they have a “very thorough cleaning process” my question is if it’s so thorough how did the 2 rooms they put us in both have dirty beds? I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

I liked that it had the restaurant and tiki bar right on the property. The ability to rent a boat at the marina. Front desk were amazing, knowledgeable, and charismatic. The breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of food variety.

Nice place for short vacation days and good food

Front desk workers were very friendly and helpful. The property was super clean. They cleaned our room every day and provided fresh towels. Breakfast buffet was very nice and the coffee station was super nice. Would definitely go back!

Staff is very friendly, entire hotel is very clean, breakfast is wonderful, pool area perfect.

Great location, staff were so friendly and generous from the moment we arrived. It was such a lovely break from the busy week in Orlando. Our first time visiting and we think this will be an annual trip back to this hotel now! Huge thanks to the staff and the chef (sorry didn’t get your name!) who made such an effort with our daughter and gave her a little shark that will be remembered! Nothing

Everything else was perfect but, the breakfast was cold and not as good or matched the rest of the hotel and amenities provide. If the breakfast was of better quality this would of been 5 stars.

Excelente servicio, personal muy atento y cordial. Muy buena calidad del desayuno, variado y de muy buen gusto. Esmerado servicio. Lo recomiendo.
