Colonial Motel

The TV didn’t work. Did not smell good when we arrived. Bathroom definitely needs updating.

The rooms are quite large. There were a lot of unfinished projects going on, so the property was messy and slightly unkempt. The breakfast was terrible. Trash bags were left out attracting skunks. Price made it a 4 star.

The staff were responsive by text and messaging, which is very helpful. The room was clean. It is easier to park behind the food trucks to get to the main entrance; the front parking lot is small and difficult to get in and out of.

Unknown to us, the property is under new management and is currently under construction and still organizing. Although the property itself was nice, rooms had a lot of room, but smelly. Hallways smelled like Skunk, because entry doors do not shut tight, for the animal to enter with no problem. Used containers of the "motel's" shampoo in the bathroom. Cobwebs throughout. Handprints all over the mirrors and windows. No hot tub, No Tavern on the premises, as stated. A bit false advertising there. Don't care to be lied to or be fooled on your Expedia Site!! Hopefully these new owners will do what needs to be done. The property has a lot of potential. But we would have found another Motel had knowing it was under construction, so to speak. A refund would be good business. But we will just find a better Motel in the future.

The carpet was filthy, and the curtains were torn. The room looked nothing like the online listing. There were flies and fruit flies in the room. The TV image was blurry, and the only channels were sports and news. The entryway light switch cover was missing, a safety hazard. Thank goodness the heater worked. We could hear everything from the rooms next door. Since the places we usually stay in Brattleboro were booked, this was a last-ditch effort. We'll make sure to book our regular locations in July for October 2027.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice and when I had a problem with my TV he was there to help within minutes. When the problem couldn't be solved he gave me some cash back and apologized for the problem, and no solution. It's a little bit of an outdated facility and I didn't care for having to park in front of the building when I was in the back of the building but it was still a nice stay.

Room wasn’t the cleanest but can tell they’re in the process of renovating. Pet friendly which was amazing and a reasonable price

Very friendly staff, very response staff. Large and clean room. No complaints. Will definitely stay here again.

Still a bit of a rehab work in progress, but quiet, clean and spacious.

Needs upgrades better coffee maker and blow dryers . Linens & pillows need to be replaced. Motel very dated.

We could not stay because of the terrible mold and mildew. Asked for a refund from Expedia and the hotel. Hotel only refunded half $77, which is what the regular rate is. Expedia has not refunded the $77 of the total $154 charge. Will dispute the remaining charge with Expedia

Staff was very nice, I only dealt with one person. The location was very convenient. The building & surrounding area was pretty quiet. Well..to start the curtains were broken so I had to fix in order to keep room private. There were stains on the bedspread, sheets were itchy. Floors needed vacuuming, there was something by my nightstand (looked like sawdust?) No streaming with TV, just basic cable. Bathroom has small window but no window covering or frosting on window which made shower awkward cuz I felt like people could see right in, the pumps didn't work in 2 of 3 of the offered bathing products. Hairdryer did not work. This room may have been work in progress? Nails in walls, paint, falling doors on cabinet. Missing art work or pictures.

Value for money. Clean and conveniently located. Friendly staff.

The Colonial Motel worked out for conveniently for the wedding we attended nearby.

Front desk staff was very nice. Location was amazing. The room and bathroom looked like they needed to be cleaned better (mopped, swept, dusted, windex, etc.), and some of the walls/ceiling seem unfinished with plaster and incomplete paint jobs throughout the place. The walls were very thin so you can hear everything happening outside of the room. TV in the room did not work and the remote control was very dirty- looked like it was never cleaned and left under furniture for years.

Clean and reasonable price.

The location was ideal for the workshop we were attending. The room was okay but our friends who also stayed at the property were not so lucky. Our experience was fine but we could see that the Colonial Motel had seen better days. That said it seemed that the current owners were in the process of sprucing and fixing up the facility.

The location and size of the room were what were expected as we stayed in the exact same room on another visit. One of the lights in the bathroom was out, the tv remote only changed the channel but not the on/off or volume buttons.

Lovely visit. Friendly staff.

The room smelled unpleasant and the tub was fairly mildewy.
