Motel 6 Cedar Rapids, IA

When we got there the staff had no clue what they were doing or what was going on. When we got into our room the floor was dirty, there was holes in our blankets, the bathroom doorknob was on the floor, the tub was half filled with water and the fridge was not cleaned out.

Motel needs more maintenance on restroom door not closing properly, floor coming up & towel rack loose off the wall. Price a little too high..

The room was small but clean (though the beds are on hard wood platforms). We left a night early, however, due to the state of the bathroom. We had a zero-entry accessible bathroom and there was no separation for the shower. Water had clearly covered most of the floor at one point. There was black mildew along the wall and trim and the door had gotten wet enough to swell and warp to the point it was hard to close. We didn't expect lots of extras but did expect to have the room meet basic health expectations.

Location Dirty, felt unsafe.

The staff was nice and the room itself was comfortable and somewhat clean Couldn’t fall asleep clearly drug dealers above my room and hookers all over the place multiple cars would pull up in the middle of the night probably picking up drugs and they were blasting loud music plus a dog was barking pretty much the whole night above us never felt safe. Got a terrible nights sleep will not be returning

They do not charge for dogs, just a deposit incase of damage or special cleaning. Great to work with desk staff. They did not have Kleenex in room.

The bathtub was dirty and the sink was dirty. There were stains on the sheets. I just think the whole motel can use a makeover

Very nasty. Mold all over bathroom. It was unsafe for children and I had 3 with me. How can I get some kind of refund or credit?

There was strong marijuana and smoke odor in smoke free room. Staff didn’t do anything except spray that didn’t work. Expedia was unresponsive on this matter. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Mold in bathroom by shower, old motel, loud AC, reservation error (booked king, received 2 double), problem locking door when leaving & phone didn’t work well.

The town of Cedar Rapids is getting a data center installed. The construction workers are staying at the hotel so it is at full occupancy. The room we were in looked like they were renovating it but they had not finished the job. There was spackle all over the wall in the bathroom. The handle to the shower kept pulling off. The mattresses were old and you could feel the springs. Not a great experience. But the place was pretty quiet so that was good.

Only as a last resort

Paid for a nicer room, got the smallest room instead that was dirty with no fridge or microwave even.

Room smelled like smoke. Microwave and fridge can't be plugged in at the same time. Couldn't figure out the TV. Bath faucet leaked.
