Carlton Inn Midway

No bed bugs. Broken furniture, mold spots in shower, no bar soap, staff mostly concerned with when I would leave, bed with barely any blankets, too far away from the Loop and the places I wanted to go.

Absolutely nothing I didn’t like that the workers were telling people on the phone what rooms the hookers were in and I didn’t like that there was hookers doing it all night above us so we couldn’t sleep

Very good

You guys say you will improve but you don't. Flying bugs in the bathroom. I killed at least 10. Bed was awful!! And this was a handicap room. SHAMEFUL.

There was no amenities the room was humid because the hot water in the shower was leaking and the bathroom door was unable to fully close we told the staff and they totally ignored.

Just the housekeeping The receptionist at night has a bad attitude

Very poor

Good

The staff The pillows weren’t comfortable the bathroom faucet was broken the toilet pump was leaking all the time the blankets had holes from cigarettes.

This place was absolutely disgusting. It was extremely dirty, and the overall condition was terrible. Honestly, it was much worse than I expected, and the whole place was really unpleasant. Everything felt so dirty that it was hard to believe it had been left in that condition.

Excellent staff. Very clean outside. Good breakfast. Coffee in office 24/7-which was wonderful. No elevator but only 2 floors.

good location for access to the city

At check in when I asked about pizza delivery the guy gave me Chinese menu. Breakfast was posted for 6am and at 6am no breakfast. We actually ate at 7a. The bed was harder concrete.

Not very clean overall. Sticky floors, bathroom not the cleanest, huge holes in the wall etc

Na The room smells like smoking room

Bad

furniture layout a little awkward, ate dinner on the bed. They ran out of knives for breakfast and didn't seem bothered by it. Jewel is 1 mile away and they could have bought more. Breakfast was fine. Room could use a little TLC, paint. Putting shampoo by the sink wasn't helpful, no soap. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker helpful.

Passable

We were completely bait-and-switched by this property comparing the photos online versus what we actually received. The rooms feel like industrial cells with peeling paint, hospital blankets (no actual bedding), no actual furniture (the “shelving” in our room was a wire rack), and there was NO WIFI; which is something that was noted as being including in our booking. The breakfast was absolutely atrocious; worse than anything I have ever seen as someone who has worked more than half a decade in the event & hospitality industry. AVOID THIS PROPERTY.

Location was great, good breakfast, free parking, gym. Walls needed paiting and blinds fixed.
