The location was ideal for the Chicago Marathon and the staff was very accommodating to the runners. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious and well outfitted. Would definitely come back.

The Blackstone is an amazing location! We were able to walk to our conference, the Shedd Aquarium, Alder Planetarium, the Field Museum, Cloud Gate (the bean), The Art Institute of Chicago and so much more. Our room was incredibly clean and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff was very kind and allowed us to store our bags after check out due to our conference going later in the afternoon. I would 100% stay here again!

The staff here were excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

The location was great for exploring Chicago. It was easy to walk to many of the tourist spots. I was left feeling really disappointed by this hotel. On arrival the lobby is an historical gem but the rooms are drab and feel very cheaply furnished. The coffee cups were disposable and there was only ever 3 of them. There was no water in the room and you had to collect it from reception (after travelling for hours I would expect the water in the room) There were two water glasses which weren’t cleaned and replaced during my 4 night stay. There was one dressing gown for two of us! This hotel is charging a 5 star price for a 3 star experience. The staff were all very nice and friendly but I think it is poorly managed

Very large comfortable room! Great location. Lots of history. Loved it.

This is my second time staying at the Blackstone and it seemed like it wasn’t as posh this time. I got the biggest room because I had two teenage sons with me and they didn’t want to sleep in the same bed, the pullout sofa was dirty and my 15-year-old son did not want to sleep on it. It just seems like it went downhill. There was a champagne flute on a table in the elevator entrance for probably eight hours, I just expect more from a place that cost $500 a night.

Location, friendly staff. Marriot Bonvoy member. Paid $1300 in full in advance for 2 nights. I looked at their website the day of check in and saw the lakeview room available for my dates less than the price i had paid in full. When I requested a lakeview room, they said it would be an addition $70 a night, even though the price advertised was less than what i had already paid, when I pointed this out, they said there was nothing that could be done because I had paid in advance. No water bottles provided either like you get with Hilton Honors.

The staff was great, we had to ask a few times for extra towels but they were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. A lot of extra fees for unknown reasons

Birthday weekend in Chicago for my wife. The location of the Blackstone is excellent. Unfortunately nothing else about the hotel is worth visiting. The checkin was awful as we were greeted by unpleasant staff. No mention of Bonvoy platinum elite status or amenities/ upgrades. No mention of a birthday weekend even though I corresponded with the property earlier in the week. There is no room service available as well or coffee, other than purchasing it at a vendor in the basement. Housekeeping service missed our room one day even though we left prior to noon- i asked the front desk and was told they would bring towels. The property is older and historic with an wonderful location but the staff and service are lacking. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Breezy check in and check out. Spotless room. Comfy bed. Safely held our luggage after checkout while we attended a game.
-
Historic building in a great location. However, the towels are really small and the bathrooms have that sliding door thing (and no fan!)
-
The room was stunning- pricy but stunning ad perfect location for us. Can be a bit street noisy but overall - we will be back Sliding bathroom door was a bit "sticky" to move, only had very minimal towels/Toilet paper, wish the refrig was stocked so I could use bottled water for coffee pot

The staff at Black Stone were amazing! Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The location is also great, especially if you want to be close to the park and enjoy going for walks. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here!
