Frequently asked questions
How do I book guest rooms for my team offsite in Columbia?
If your group needs 9 or more rooms, Engine Groups handles the room-block booking for you. For 8 rooms or fewer, you can search and book self-serve on Engine. Both options give you access to pre-negotiated rates and consolidated invoicing.
What should I look for when choosing a hotel for a company retreat in Columbia?
Meeting and breakout space is the priority. The Marriott Columbia offers about 27,000 square feet of event space and 17 meeting rooms, while the Doubletree by Hilton Columbia has about 24,000 square feet. You'll also want enough guest rooms to house your team comfortably, and on-site facilities like dining and AV capabilities vary by property.
What's the best way to get my team to Columbia for an offsite?
Columbia Metropolitan Airport serves the city and offers direct flights from several regional airports. Many of the hotels on this list are a short drive from the airport, making group arrivals and departures straightforward. Ground transportation options include rideshare, rental cars, and shuttle services depending on the property.
Can Engine help with both the hotel rooms and the meeting space for our retreat?
Yes. For guest rooms, Engine Groups handles room blocks of 9 or more, and you can book 8 or fewer self-serve. For meeting and event space, you can find and request venues through Engine Spaces, which gives you access to thousands of options. Engine helps you source both pieces so your offsite planning stays in one place.
How does billing work when I book multiple rooms for a team offsite?
Engine offers consolidated invoicing, so you get one bill for the entire group rather than managing individual receipts. You'll have multiple payment options, and there's no membership fee to use the platform.
Why don't you show rates for these hotels?
