Saddle & Surrey Motel

Very friendly staff and our room was clean and comfortable. The property itself is a little dated but we were already expecting this from the photos. The location is a little outside of the main town but we were able to get uber/lyft for less than 10 bucks.

The room had an old motel smell to it right when we walked in. Refrigerator had a loud buzzing sound, and had to unplug it. The drainage in the bathroom sink was very very slow. Never found an ice machine. Motel was alot further from the town of Estes Park thanwas indicated.

Very small and outdated property but it was clean and functional. Staff was friendly, small continental breakfast in the lobby.

Room was clean and rustic, perfect for the Rockies.

We had a pleasant stay, our unit was also a kitchenette style, which gave us cooking options and a lot of space in the unit. If you’re looking for a fancy resort, this isn’t that place, but if you’re looking for a clean, well kept strip style motel of the 70’s, this would be a place worth considering. Additionally, when we were leaving, we were heading out of town from the hotel. We inquired if the hotel sold bags of ice at the check in office, but they didn’t. So, in a very considerate move, the lady told us to hold on for a moment, and she went and filled a bag of ice and gav3 it to us, which really helped. That was something she didn’t have to do, but certainly went a long way to go above the expected. It was just another reason to feel good about our choice to stay here.

Parking

The hotel was great. No problem. Nothing special but clean, friendly, and quiet.

Spacious room that was clean but very 1970s. Tiny bathroom with a phone booth sized shower. Hard beds. Nice employees. Short drive to restaurants and RMNP.

Great location, clean rooms. Shower knob was little worn out so controlling water temp was difficult. Breakfast was fair, no protein option though. Rooms were great for the price I paid.

The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The only problem was some of the venetian blinds were missing in the bedroom and kitchen.

A basic motel that did all the motel stuff very well. Coffee and continental breakfast in the office lobby each morning a plus. The location was perfect to access the National Park each day or just hang out in town. Our room was small but comfortable. It's not the Ritz, but excellent for a small motel. Elk roamed the parking lot daily!

I so appreciated being able to check in early so I didn’t have to take my food with me to the mountains. I did have an issue with the toilet which I reported when I checked out.
