J House Greenwich

THE LOBBY STAFF WAS CORDIAL, THE VALETS WERE VERY ACCOMODATING. THE ROOM WAS NOT AS PRISTINE CLEAN AS OUR FIRST VISIT, AND THE ROOM ACTUALLY HAD A BIT MORE WEAR AND TEAR. THE DRAPES WERE NOT WORKING EASILY AND THE BATHROOM DOOR DID NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY.

The owners of this hotel spared absolutely no expense in making it uniquely luxurious. We didn’t like that our room and patio were on the ground floor, basically in the parking lot, but the rooms had all remote control window coverings, so that took the sting off a bit for our one-night stay. Another compensation was the decor of the common areas. The decor was quite literally, fantastic. All kinds of interesting art including sculptures and various objects d’art. We did patronize the restaurant which is owned and run by Tony, a friend of the hotelier. We were there on a Saturday night and Tony’s was mobbed with diners and drinkers. Nevertheless, Tony was circling around, and approached us in the bar with an offer to take our picture on the swing. Yes, there is a swing in the bar! In fact, two of them.

Rooms were clean, check- in was easy Staff was excellent , breakfast was great Tony’s restaurant was over the top so was Tony!! Over all great experience Would definitely stay again

Good breakfast, nice choice of cereals and fruit.

Great stay loved the room and the tv in the bathroom mirror was amazing. We ate at Tony’s restaurant while there which was fantastic. My only complaint and area of improvement was the breakfast provided in the AM was awful. Just a few baked pastries,granola bars and yogurt provided. Basically something to grab and go but not sure can really be counted as “breakfast included” other than that though we loved the room and property.

Nice hotel, but very loud. No sound proofing between rooms made for an unrelaxing stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, but unfortunate design choices made the room uncomfortable.

Exceptional

Loved how clean the room was and how helpful the Staff in general. Being from Europe myself, I would have preferred a Nespresso machine in the room, rather than the Keurig. Wonderful small hotel

The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean, comfy bed, large. TV, and the bathroom was very nice! I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.

Sadly for me the grey noise in my room was loud as I was in a room close to exhaust pipes. The hotel was full so I could not change rooms. The receptionist gave me ear plugs which helped.

Live this spot anytime I'm staying in Greenwich. Steaks are great at the restaurant.

It was ok, didn’t use any amenities. Staff were fine, food was not too good. Overall not bad but I have been to cheaper hotel that are better.

Lovely and convenient location but wildly overpriced.
