Hyatt Place Houston Downtown

I enjoyed majority of my stay at the Hyatt in downtown Houston.

Get hotel at a great location walking distance to the baseball game

Tv location in the middle of the room make difficult to go around to go to the bathroom

Very convenient to the theatre we attended. The staff was kind and helpful. It was a little dated and would have been nice if the lounge was open later

The property itself was great, location and room was spacious. VALET was HORRIBLE. We waited for my husband’s truck for a good 20 minutes, we saw everyone get their vehicles in a quickly manner. We get our vehicle back (it is a lifted truck) the top antenna is broken and the tires were scuffed. If the valet drivers cannot drive a lifted truck, they should be upfront and tell us they cannot drive it. Instead we get the truck back damaged. I really hope they take care of these damages. The guy who returned our vehicle seemed nervous as if he knew something was wrong. As we waited for the vehicle we noticed a worker getting a call about our vehicle. I’m pretty sure they talked about it happening and were hoping we didn’t notice.

Great location for the theater. Everything was great except for the overpriced valet parking and the water bottles we purchased from the front desk.

Valet parking high cost but hotel is very clean and nice.

Dallas was absolutely amazing!! She was on the front desk and was so welcoming, friendly and cheerful. She truly made our stay 10x better! Anything we needed, she was there with a smile on her face and just so polite. Shaun upstairs in the bar was another person who improved our stay significantly with his charisma and cheerful personality. We very much enjoyed visiting him for happy hour each evening and hearing about all of the cool spots to check out in Houston. He has some great recommendations!

Great hotel and close to Daiken Park. Only thing I would improve is some hotel security. Not a big lobby and no I’d on elevators so any one could come onto property and go up elevators pretty easy.
