Place was great! Felt like we had the true San Diego coastal stay experience. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Beach and balcony views were awesome! Will come again!

Great stay with a nice discount from hotels.com

Clean, great view and beachside location. Food good. Restaurant slow service on last day vtook 45 mins to be seated. No apology.

The room was very spacious but had a strong odor; the daily resort fee was supposed to include a box of chocolate truffles, but the hotel was out of them. The air conditioning worked great, but the water did not get very hot in the shower. The location of the hotel is wonderful and close to restaurants, bars, and it's right on the beach.

The best part of this stay was the staff and the view. Overall I didn’t find this stay very accommodating. There was a huge crack in the mirror glass in the living room, which I reported to the front desk immediately. They said they were aware and that it had happened the day before and would be repaired soon. This was nerve wracking because I was traveling with children and was concerned they could get injured on it. The beach was closed due to water pollution which made it inconvenient since we had to drive to neighboring beaches to actually get in the water. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The additional $30/day valet charge was a bit excessive in my opinion, given there’s already a $30/day resort fee. We rented a vehicle to commute and the idea of handing over the keys to a vehicle I don’t own but I’m liable for was unsettling. The alternative is to find street parking. There was some sort of local car show event that shut down the main road and any street parking was prohibited, still the hotel was not accommodating to this $30 charge and we had to find parking in the residential neighborhood. I appreciate that the staff was kind and responsive if we called down for towels/laundry bags. I don't feel like I would recommend this hotel to a loved one.

The hotel is a beautiful beach front property, the staff were wonderful and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

The ocean view balcony was worth the higher price. Walk out the pool gate and you are on the beach. The beaches were nice and not over crowded. I think we counted 12 people at one time at the most. Only downside is the frosted glass entry door. It looks nice but let's in all the hallway light while trying to sleep at night. Was almost daylight in the middle of the night.

While the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, the facility was a little older. The comforter on our bed was awful. It was so old and washed so many times that the stuffing was pushed to the corners and was rock hard. Certainly, it was replaced with a better one when we asked, I just felt it shouldn't have been there in the first place. The devil is in the details in any hotel and when those details are overlooked or not noticed, it detracts from the experience. This was, in my opinion, a very expensive hotel and I expected better.
