I enjoyed the unique building and its location is great. Nice lounge downstairs, too! Very enjoyable. I did notice that the shower door was installed backwards— I couldn’t turn on the shower without getting in— but a small inconvenience.

Nice clean classic One elevator

Hotel was amazing!! At first I was blown away at all the doors and everything requiring room key access. Thought it was overkill until we walked downtown and saw all the homelessness. There were so many homeless people. At one point we were chased by a homeless man yelling at us. Drugged up homeless are a problem in KZoo so my advice is stay in the hotel and eat and drink. The city is wild and feral.

Very nice place with friendly staff. Even though its right downtown the parking was right across the street from the hotel which was very convenient.
-
Location is great, staff were super friendly, breakfast great Small comment - there were 2 reception area's long stay and short stay - long stay desk was often not available
-

The hotel itself was fine. It's a nice hotel with a great lobby area. The pool is small, so beware that the kids won't have a ton of space to splash around. However, the outdoor patio area off of the pool was a great place for the adults to hang out. The room was clean and as advertised. The issue we had was during the check-in experience. The city of Kalamazoo was under a boil water advisory when we arrived and we asked about that during check-in as we had just heard about it. We were told the only option was to leave to buy water and that the coffee "should be fine". The guy was rude about it as well. To me it seems like good customer services would be to pass out a few bottles of water and let customers know where the best place to purchase more close by would be. I'd stay again, but would hope for better service.

no body wash in showers. Not up to date.

The hotel is located in an attracive historic building, built in 1915. My room was spacious, with tall ceilings. It was clean and well laid-out. It had charm. It had tall, grand windows with thick curtains that really made it feel luxurious, even if my view was other buildings! The room was quiet, except for the a/c which was a bit noisy, but this is a common problem at hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful. The $9.99 buffet breakfast was good value for the price -- toast your own bread, cooked oatmeal, eggs, sausages, French toast, coffee, you know the drill. Overall, I thought this was way better than your average three star hotel. The pool is small but kids will like it and the gym has modern equipment. This hotel isn't far from the pedestrian mall that is the star attraction of the city, with lots of cute little shops. There is a big chain hotel that is literally on the pedestrian mall. But it's more expensie and lacks the charm of the old Masonic Temple Building that houses the Hilton Garden Inn. All in all, I was very satisfied wiht my stay here. Parking is $20 a night.

Hotel was clean, beds were comfy. Cost additional $20 a day to park in parking garage across street, Hotel was under a boil water advisory (city wide issue, not the hotels fault) yet they were requiring guests to pay for bottled water instead of offering it. Shower conditioner bottle was empty. Overall a nice hotel, just for the price paid the little things add up.

My Mom and I stayed 2nights. Checking in was confusing. Front desk was polite and helpful. Parking was cheap and easy and was attached by a sky bridge. Room was clean and comfortable. Dark out blind was broke. Unsure why coffee wasn’t free. We did love the location very walkable to some great bars and restaurants.

Breakfast was good. Digital keys wouldn't work. Caused my pregnant girlfriend to have to walk up stairs multiple times because elavator was down.

Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, great coffee It was all good The construction going on around this hotel is crazy but out of their control

The property is about to be remodeled and it’s definitely needed. My room had very dirty and musty carpet. The bathroom fan did not work. They used a deodorizer to try to cover us the smell which made it worse. The overnight stay in this room killed my allergies and made me miserable for several days.
