Wingate by Wyndham Kings Bay Naval Base / I-95

Our room had no remote so we looked through the drawers to see if it was placed there and we discovered bugs, and clothing from a previous guest. It was obvious the room was not cleaned properly. In addition, the breakfast was not good & all you are given in the bathroom is a tiny bar of soap.

We checked in. Front desk lady looked so thrilled to be bothered when we got there. Went in room., smelled awful. Room 111. Smelled like mold We had driven all day I was like turn on air and our box fan and maybe wont smell. Went to shower and we had 1 towel. My grandson went twice to get more was told she checked room, and they were there, he showed her a picture. She said she would come by like we were lying. I went to desk and she told me they had a towel shortage. She finally brought us 1 extra. We just went to sleep but the smell gave me such a headache. We left asap in the morning. Didn't even try the breakfast. Never again

The room and bathroom were poorly maintained and quite dirty, additionally, there was a weird smell through the entire hotel. Really regret having stayed there.

This hotel was definitely the best value for the money in the Kingsland area. It was so easy to check in online, the hotel was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was small but adequate. There were some areas that could have used a little update, but these minor things did not affect our positive experience. I would stay here again!

The only real positive is that the bed was comfortable. Also, front desk clerks were very pleasant...but... Housekeeping was horrendous. Checked in and went to room. do not disturb sign still on door. Knocked...just in case...then entered room. Large pile of dirt right as we entered the room. Room did not appear clean and was shabby. No tissues in bathroom, refrigerator had opened bottle of beer and opened bottle of water in it. Bad short in one of the lights. Sparked when moving the adjustable fixture. Many of the electrical outlets were loose. Breakfast was sparse although eggs and sausage were good. But very few other things. Did not even have milk for cereal or oatmeal. We told housekeeping when we were leaving for the day and made sure we requested cleaning. But when we returned in the evening, they didn't even bother to make the bed. We have stayed in many win gates over the years and this one was by far the worst

Very friendly staff and clean rooms

I booked 2 queens ,sent to a king. Came back was sent to 2 queens but,no bedding so then sent to room with bedding but,1 towel. Tired so took it and picked up towels later. The shower had not been cleaned. Old soap and wrapper and door covered in soap scum and back corner broken. Cracked piece off bathroom mirror. This place was remodeled a couple years ago and we've stayed for 1 night a couple times but,won't again. Cancelled our 1 night scheduled for trip back already. Ashley at front desk was trying hard but,she can't do it alone. They need housekeeping and maintenance. Didn't risk breakfast.

Close to my daughter house and pool and hot tub were ok Hallway by the pool smelt like mildew. Had problems get in our room battery in door went dead and we could not get in our room which was frustrating. Breakfast was cold . No coffee had to ask for more . Housekeeper need to clean a better trash under bed .

Location No desk clerk upon arrival had to wait 15 mins no sign saying be back nothing. Evidently she was in bathroom. About the worst breakfast at a hotel.ever might as well just provide juice and coffee.

The staff is always nice and the pool is always clean. Breakfast is always good. The bed sheets are always dirty everytime I’ve ever came. They do not give enough shower towels or toilet paper or bags in room for trash when staying more than one day. I don’t like that the tv cannot stream anything unless you have some type of connection. And there is also minimal light in the room

Proximity to 95 Very heavy disinfectant smell. Was definitely clean (which was great) but the smell was not a pleasant clean smell.

The staff was awesome!!! The room and lobby were clean and the room was comfy The room was clean,the water was hot just the way I like it. The staff greeted us each time left and entered the lobby

Very clean, comfortable and modern room. The lady at the front desk during check in was amazing! The A/C was remarkable. Breakfast options were very good. Would definitely stay here again!!

So I recently stayed at the property for two different visits. My first visit, we had a room where the beds were made with only two flat sheets for blankets. No comforter or duvet in between. The ac system is loud as heck and rattles louder than an industrial ice maker. The bathroom had hair in the showers from the last guest. My second visit was this past weekend and the room smelled musty or almost like mild dew. One of the bed sets had sheets with yellow stains on it so a second set was requested. The second set has old period stains on it. Again, ac unit was loud as hell. This room also smelled musty. And why do the rooms not have any type of toilet paper holder? Has a coffee maker with no cups and no ice bucket in the room. The gym has the bare minimum for equipment, couldn’t even tell you if they were functionable. Breakfast options were slim pickings. Also thing I DID enjoy on the property was the pool anmenity. It was nicely kept, spacious and had entertainment. Like that large chess area and the mini golf. They also had great staff both times I went. Moral of the story… this is definitely a “you get what you pay for” scenarios.

Good location with everything around We were there for a total of four days, due to a death in our family. Our room was never cleaned, even after requesting it to be done. Our trash in our room was overflowing, the shower had mold and old soap bars in it. We were locked out of our room for over an hour as our batteries in the door died and the hotel support was unable to find any batteries, so they had to take them from another door and then call someone from management to reprogram the door, because it still wouldn’t work. The landscaping definitely needed improvement. The pool was so cloudy. You couldn’t even see the bottom. Overall, not happy and would like my money back.

Very poor breakfast. Would not eat it.
