Frequently asked questions
What amenities do team offsite hotels in Lubbock typically offer?
Most hotels offer amenities like parking, wifi, on-site dining, and fitness centers, though specifics vary by property. Hotels with larger event footprints, like MCM Eleganté Hotel & Suites with about 14,000 square feet of event space, often have more on-site facilities. Check each property's listing on Engine to confirm what's available for your group.
How does billing work when booking multiple rooms for a company retreat?
Engine offers consolidated invoicing, so you can manage payment for the entire room block in one place. You'll have multiple payment options and there's no membership fee to use the platform. This makes it straightforward to handle expenses for your offsite without chasing down individual receipts.
How do I book a block of rooms for my team's offsite?
If you need 9 or more guest rooms, Engine Groups handles the room-block booking for you. For 8 rooms or fewer, you can book self-serve directly on the platform. Either way, you'll have access to pre-negotiated rates across the hotel network.
How far in advance should I book hotel rooms for a team offsite?
Booking at least four to six weeks out gives you the best selection and helps lock in rates, especially if you're reserving multiple rooms and meeting space. For larger groups or peak dates, even earlier is better. Once your guest rooms are set, you can find and request meeting space through Engine Spaces to complete your offsite plans.
What should I compare when choosing where to host a company retreat?
Look at the number of meeting rooms, total event square footage, and how many guest rooms the property has. For example, DoubleTree by Hilton Lubbock University Area offers about 4,000 square feet across 5 meeting rooms, while Courtyard by Marriott Lubbock Downtown/University Area has about 4,000 square feet in 4 meeting rooms. Also consider location, on-site dining, and any breakout space you'll need for workshops or team activities.
