Discovery Inn

In two words—INCREDIBLY RUDE! I have never experienced anything like this in all my years of extensive travel both in the US and abroad. The room was chilly, and the AC/heater would not go above 74 degrees. I reported this to the night shift manager, who acted annoyed, treating me as nuisance, as if the issue were my fault. He came to my room (acting as if he were doing me a huge favor) only to discover that the thermostat indeed would not go above 74. When he asked what I wanted to do, I explained that I simply needed a warm room because it was chilly. In a deeply patronizing tone, he told me that he didn't understand me, that I didn't know what I wanted, and that I was "confused." I firmly told him that I am a paying customer and that he absolutely cannot speak to me that way. In response, he demanded that I leave the property immediately and threatened to call the police. Because this happened around 10pm, instead of getting much-needed rest, I was forced to pack up in the middle of the night, find another hotel, and contact Expedia to sort out a refund. To make matters worse, he claimed to be the property owner. When I asked for his name, he clearly gave me a fake one; a quick online search later revealed that the actual owner has a completely different name. I have reported this behavior to Expedia, and the agent was absolutely shocked. Avoid this place at all costs!

My stay was very nice at discovery inn. For the price, I was shocked at how clean it was an how accommodating an friendly the staff was… Beto was helpful at giving us a nice place to park our truck and boat. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re driving through town, it’s right off the freeway and has a lot of breakfast options around. Thank you again.

A lot of garbage in the parking lot and hallways also were unattended. Room wasn’t thuraly cleaned. The staff was super friendly.

My experience was horrible not only from a health and safety standpoint but also from a customer service standpoint. Upon arrival I was greeted coldly by Beto at the front desk. He was annoyed that I interrupted him relaxing and listening to music behind the desk and was very rude during his check in process. Afterwards I made my way to my room around midnight. After about an hour I was ready for bed and I checked the blankets and sheets as I always do in a hotel… only to find two live bedbugs and evidence of multiple more (small blood droplet stains and fecal spots). I have video and photo evidence showing the bugs next to my check in receipt and a full view of the room for verification. After gathering my belongings I returned to the front desk around 1:30 pm to find Beto checking in another patron. I tried to wait to discretely tell Beto about the issue after the patron left so as not to cause a scene, however Beto rudely demanded I tell him what I wanted immediately. I stepped forward and told him about the bed bugs and he became extremely irritable and verbally aggressive. The other patron was appalled and said he wouldn’t stay there. He told us there were no other accommodations and he would not help us find alternative lodgings. I asked for a taxi to help me get to the next hotel and he refused to even call me a taxi. He then got more aggressive and tried to kick us out of the lobby at 2am before we had made alternative plans. Never stay here

Horrible experience, parked in the back and quickly noticed all of the drug addiction, after we walked into the room we walked right back out and checked out. Not at all like advertised in the pictures. Go somewhere else for the same price.

Exceptional

Missing towels, cracked mirror near the corner, broken hair dryer, cable tv wasn’t working, the location is close to the major highway. The parking lot was active, but seemed safe near the rooms.

Nice for parking spots. Rooms getting old

The property is filthy. Walked into our room not even 30 seconds in there noticed the bugs. Also noticed the used soap in the shower and dirty cups and hydro flask left behind from previous guests. There were cockroaches by the door. Moved the nightstands and was completely disgusted by the amount of cockroaches running about . When we went back to the desk they acted as if they had never in their life had a complaint about their property. The man at the desk was decently nice but also was basically like well you’re not getting your money back sorry . My best advice is just save your money- don’t even bother booking here . It won’t let me upload a video unfortunately.
