El aire acondicionado hace mucha bulla dentro de la habitación, no había utensilios como shampoo ni jabón y la habitación se sentía la mugre en la alfombra

We've stayed at the Snelling Motel many times before, as it's close to the VA where we get annual brain testing. The place was the worst we've seen it, with junk in the stairways, and general deterioration. The room itself was OK. But we will not stay there again.

This is a clean, comfortable, basic no-frills place to stay that is very convenient to various locations in Minneapolis, with parking onsite and easy access to public transporation. We found it a very good option for our weekend visit. It might be a bit too spartan for a lengthy stay..

The owner or manager was delightful! I feel that they are fixing the place up as our room was fully remodeled and nice linens. Don't judge a book by its cover! Plus right next to Minneapolis VA hospital/clinic. We walked over there to sign in and walked back to the VA.

The room itself was clean and appeared to be newly renovated, but the property and the surrounding area are in severe disrepair. I’m down for a motor lodge/ roadside motel, but Snelling looks like it peaked about 50 years ago. The gentleman checking us in was very friendly.

The room was clean, but the deadbolt on the door didn’t work

I stayed here because of an early morning medical appointment at the VA hospital. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but more than adiquate for a short stay for one or two people. The room was very clean, well maintained. The entire hotel exhibited the care that extended from the guests to the building itself.

I didn’t have a chance to stay here as they wanted a $500 deposit to stay and I couldn’t afford that

The room had a very stale smell. Even after turning on the air conditioner and leaving the door open, the smell never went away completely. It had no bedside lamps, the refrigerator was turned off, and there was no hair dryer.

It’s fine as a baseline motel. The place is run down, especially as compared to the neighborhood- hallway carpets were musty, but the room’s was ok. Their hospitality is also baseline… strict 10:30 checkout, etc. Minihaha falls is close, which is why I chose the spot, and there’s bus and transit a block away. It worked out, though I personally would expect a lower rate for the quality.

Very nice customer service. The room was clean but the building needs some upkeep. The hallway that went to my room near the stairs had pieces of carpet to cover the floor that I tripped on. There were cleaning supplies and items that should be in storage or hidden that was unsightly. But hey, it was a very fair price and the room was clean

When I first saw this place, my heart sank; from the outside, it looks like a pretty awful motel. The hotel looks very dated and the exterior paint is peeling all over. My first room has dirty walls and the furniture was in mediocre condition. The staff moved me to a nicer looking room. The deadbolts don't work because the wrong strike plates are installed. Overall, my stay was decent and the staff was friendly, but I would not stay here again. There are very little in the way of nearby shops or restaurant, but if you have business with the VA hospital across the street, it's extremely convenient.

A great place to stay for the value and location. Would definitely go there again.

Not worth the money, forced wake up and get out call

Nice clean room

I stayed in a clean, non-smoking room. I had trouble regulating the AC, even though the front desk manager came in to start it for me. He turned on the refrigerator, too. He recommended a good, local pizza restaurant that delivers! I did NOT want a chain pizza. Plus, I was able to park right in front of my room. One last item: I had enough toilet paper, but I couldn't see a fresh, new roll ...

Motel s run down and does not give a good impression when you see it. Room was basic but clean. Area felt safe but nothing nearby to eat or even a coffee place unless you have a car. But price affordable so probably a case of “you get what you pay for” If you just want a place to sleep and get a shower it’s ok

Beds were too hard, rooms were clean but needed repair, cost was way more than it was worth.
