Highland Inn New Cumberland

Good location , close to Turnpike & food & stores , very quite .

This is where we stay on a regular basis and we are never disappointed. It was all great !!

Location, proximity to other businesses while maintaining a sense of seclusion. It had a lot of character. The staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. You can tell that the owner cares about their inn. It’s not fancy but it has everything you need and it was clean. I’m very conscious of cleanliness when I stay anywhere and I had no issues. I felt safe. Bed was comfortable, linens and towels were nice and not cheap fabric. I was very happy with the stay. The highway is very close and loud but once in the room it wasn’t noticeable at all so it was not a real issue.

My children came to stay there for Hershey Park and they were not happy with the room.

Great little Hotel, they are working on renovations, and when is it finished it will be a showpiece once again. Glad I stayed here will be coming back.

A very comfortable and conveniently located classic motor lodge. The advantage of parking directly outside of your room cannot be beat. The property is older but very well maintained and quiet. The rooms are comfortably spacious. Nearby is Rutter's, a gas station/covenience market that has excellent and affordable made-to-order food preparation (their chicken options are outstanding, including sandwiches, including for breakfast, and excellent wings) and other excellent dining options.

Room was very clean, somewhat dated but very acceptable. Price was great, close to where I needed to be in Harrisburg. Rerception staff was very nice. Obviously some folks are there for extended stay, I arrived after dark and felt safe. Can't see if anything, it met my needs.

I thought the beds were super comfortable, and I liked the ease of booking. The price was also great! The decor and general upkeep could use some work. The space definitely looked 'lived in'.

There was no breakfast available! The property is extremely old - no updates at all - door to unit closed but you could see daylight around it and under it. Would not recommend at all. Horrible experience. Didn't like everything. Property accessibility was difficult to find - too close to the interstate. Property in disrepair. Lots of locals stay there (looked like).

Photos are outdated by at least 10 years, Place is in quite a bit of disorder. Waited at the front desk and no one ever came. Left and stayed elsewhere. Expedia still hasn't refunded me so negative on Expedia for this one as well.

Great location Noisy Air Conditioner. Hard to sleep with it on even with ear plugs

The room - The room is nothing like the photos. I'm not sure where those photos were taken. All of the queen comfort rooms show a queen with a sitting area. There was no sitting area, just a very unfomfortable task chair with a cigarette hole in the seat. The wires going to the outlet in the bathroom were exposed. The carpet was matted and damp. On the plus side, the Jerry Lee Lewis approved pink and black tile from 1959 in the bathroom was in pristine condition and the waterfall shower was a recent upgrade it seems. Otherwise, the room was adequate. We had a non-smoking room among several smoking rooms. The other tenants were smoking right outside our room making it difficult to avoid. The wifi was intermittent at best. Don't count on it being available.

Enroute received a message to call. We were asked if we were arriving and what time. On arrival we were told room was flooded and we had two options- either a small room at discount or full refund. Initially we thought small room after a long day traveling. But found bathroom door wouldn’t close and fridge microwave had no power. Some opted for full refund which to date has not occurred.

Price Location

Was clean and everything was in order. The location was excellent to what I needed. Easy check in and dedicated parking. The bathroom was refreshed and the shower was new. Everything worked as I should. Musty smell I assume from the carpet. Neighbor liked loud music. Was over by 8 the first night. Was taken care of by the INN the 2nd night. Small amount of very loud door slamming after that. But it wasnt unusual for me and does not detour me.

Worst bathroom I ever encountered in a motel. Shower curtain was filthy. The tub appeared to be decades old. Towels were stained. Under the sink, black stuff on the walls appeared to be mold.

Property was definitely in need of some TLC, room was clean, but definitely had a odor price was very inexpensive, but I don’t think I would stay there again

The floor of the room was disgusting. The beds were cleanly no bedbugs however, they’re a long-term people that stay there making it feel a little uncomfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

It was a nice size room and clean. You couldn't run the air conditioner and the microwave at the same time. And the mattress was extremely uncomfortable.
