Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff. Little bit outdated but everything was working and refurbishing is now ongoing

Only thing I liked was the locatioin Bathroom was extremely small with a tub for a shower. Bathroom smelled. No outlets by or on your nightstands for charging phones. The outlets that were available across the room, half didn't work

The hotel was fine and in a good location, but it was the staff who really made the difference at this hotel. Omar, especially went out of his way to accommodate our every need and always with a smile. He truly made our stay exceptional. No real compalints and I'm really being picky here, but it would have been nice to have a comfortable chair in the room.

Location, self-service laundry facilities on site, kitchen facility, 24 hour front desk,accessibility to transit, great grocery store across the street, friendly staff! It’s a little dated, but has been kept in good shape, and things were all very clean.

It was a holiday weekend in New York City and hotels were running high so rather than stay in the Time Square area we came to the upper west side to the Beacon hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel was over $800 and it wa the kind of hotel and room I would have stayed at in my late adolescence. It was grungy and had a feeling of being unclean. The room was tiny. The TV didn’t work at first. The lobby looked like a bus station and one man at the desk was rude. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone that I care for. It felt punitive..

Staff were extremely helpful! From an email prior to arrival asking about laundry facilities, to greeting us upon check in to help with parking. Michael was extremely helpful and kind. Loved having the kitchenette in the room, and the market across the street was a bonus. Great location - close to subway and Central Park. Honestly can't think of anything we were unhappy with.

Beautiful neighborhood and interesting older building. Very convenient to public transportation. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel is being renovated but they only bothered informing us a couple of days before we arrived. There is no lobby, no roof deck, and the room is definitely on the older side - no ventilation in bathroom, very old and basically stuck bathroom door which made it impossible to properly close, non working range hood.

Great location on Your West Side, spacious rooms with kitchenettes.

I traveled with 3 teenage grandsons. We had a suite with a king size bed and a queen sofa bed. One bathroom. Good size and comfortable. It was August so air conditioning was great. Also the kitchen was great for simple breakfasts.

The general local area and its proximity to 72nd st subway station. The very friendly helpful staff. Well insulated from street noise. The sound really carried from the next room. There were renovations taking place during my stay.

Noise was not really accdptable. There should have been a discount offered.

For the price, it was surprising to find no lobby, no bar, no room service and a space in mid renovation.

Staying at the Beacon Hotel always feels like returning home when I come into NYC. Spacious accommodations, friendly, accommodating staff members, and of course superior location! I look forward to returning next year!
