Bellevue Manor

We had trouble figuring out the TV. Instructions regarding which controllers to use, and how to them, would have been helpful. The beds were very comfortable

Our room was spacious. Air conditioning worked great. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Location was wonderful for walking to stores, restaurants; especially wonderful that we could park our car for free at the Manor! Parking in town is rough and expensive.We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional

An older building but clean and well maintained. Needed help getting the heat on but it was taken care of right away. Breakfast was very good. Convenient location.

An excellent location. The breakfast was pretty good, and the coffee excellent.

The inn is in a great Newport location. No problem with parking. It is an easy walk to the Cliff Walk and the wharf area. Short drive to the mansions. We enjoyed our stay in this historic inn and would stay here again. They also serve an excellent breakfast.

Newport, RI is blessed with many cute and quaint historic inns and B&B type accommodations. Bellevue Manor is one of them and has a few distinct advantages. First, it is quite centrally located on the corner of Bellevue avenue and Touro St. Exit left and you are walking distance from many of the mansions, the Newport Art Museum, Salve Regina University and the gorgeous Cliff Walk (a few mansions and the Cliff Walk are about 20 mins walk but along beautiful Bellevue Avenue, whereas the art museum is two blocks down!) Exit right and you are within a few blocks of multiple fun restaurants and the wharf. Second, they offer affordable, very cozy rooms or suites: a touch of class and the historic feel without breaking the budget. Finally, their staff are super friendly and their breakfast is lovely: we enjoyed the quiche, ham, French toast or pancakes along with very fresh fruits (melon, strawberries and blueberries), and great coffee! In pleasant weather there is an outdoor seating section but the indoor one is very nice as well. Would stay there again!

Fantastic location, convenient parking, great room, delicious breakfast each morning

Great location, friendly staff & spacious room. The in room fridge was a bonus. Breakfast was delicious & no problems parking in lot behind the building. Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay!

This is a quaint hotel within walking distance to the wharf area and many restaurants. I really liked the hot breakfast and there was an option to eat outside if the weather permits. More variety of pillows. Mine was too "fat."

nothing other than location room was on what is considered lower level (thats the basement) in a room labeled sprinkler room, room not clean fire alarm woke us up twice than removed by management and not replaced. Breakfast area was directly outside our room lower level dark and dingy. AC right over bead blowing directly on you. The view from the 1/2 window in the room was a crawl space with pump tanks used for fertilizer and pesticide.

Tho the building was built in 1835 the renovations made it modern while retaining the old world charm. We luckily got a first floor room as the stairs to the above floors were quite steep and no elevators available

Our room was beautiful and the whole place was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was quite delicious. I would definitely stay here again. Parking was a nice added amenity as well.

Free parking is a plus and coffee shop breakfast is fantastic

The only upside was that you could walk to the Bowen Wharf area. The room was as quaint as an unfinished basement, old, outdated, musty, clearly not worth the money paid.
