avid hotel North Platte by IHG

The hotel was very clean, quiet and safe. Breakfast was very good, everything hot and well stocked. My only complaint was that the body wash and hair conditioner pumps in the shower were empty, had to use shampoo as a body wash.

After a very disappointing stay last week when I found the sheets had not been changed on the bed and other problems, I was told the mgr would contact me about negotiating a refund. I have heard nothing. The staff working early morning were terrific but cleaning and maintenance leaves much room to improve. I’m still waiting.

Very new build. Interesting/different lobby. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast options. Room was on the small side. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean a OK size. Two annoying things: The bathroom light was on a timer/sensor and it went out repeatedly while I took a brief shower. I had to open the tub slider and wave my hand to turn it back on. Onsite EV charger was the worst I've used on my 4,800 cross country trip. It was a Level 1 charger offering less than 10-kVa. It automatically shut off after 15 minutes of charging for both me & the other person who was plugged in. Why?

The staff are fantastic the ladies made checking in easy. They told us about the breakfast, the parking and the local restaurants. At breakfast they have a nice selection eggs, bagels, cereal, a protein and great coffee. We brought our dog and he was also greated at check in. They have a nice grassy area for your dog behind the building.

Front desk (a nice young man) personnel were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is consistently clean inside & out. I never have to worry about the bedding being clean for my stay. I appreciate that! Staff are friendly and efficient. Also, I like the easy access to coffee or tea anytime I want. Breakfast includes the best scrambled eggs. Great variety of other items. My #1 choice to stay between Omaha & Denver.

Loud /multiple charges to my card for a room that was already paid for

The staff was nice and all self operated amenities were easy to use. My only criticism would be to have a main garage can in the room (doesn’t need to be huge) because I only found a tiny one in the bathroom.

Nice staff After booking and paying in full there was added fees from Avid daily but no explanation. No damages were done as they were just charging daily fees even though I paid in full with booking.c
