Club Wyndham Oceanside Pier

The room had obviously been updated but very poorly organized. No end table or light at end of right side of bed—coffee maker on desk but not near plug so had to move it around light to far side for plug in, no lights in sitting area, tv got no signal (maintenance came and said you have to turn it on and off but might not work because of system updating), only one set of cups/coffee, no creamer or stir sticks, room smelled of food or sewage, fire alarm went off at 11:30 pm for five minutes with no info after, old tub had no strips to prevent slipping, shower curtain was too short and water pooled on floor, no wall bar to step out of shower, corner of tub area with visible black dirt accumulated, hallway very noisy and large pile of towels left outside room directly in front of our room. The staff were all very helpful and responded quickly to requests for tv and coffee supplies. Should have taken a photo of dirt in bathroom that a washcloth could not remove entirely—totally unacceptable bathroom cleanliness!! We are in our late 70’s and have had plenty of experience with hotels in vacation areas. You have a great location but are not competing very well with your upscale neighbors who we will definitely book later this year. We live in Temecula and view Oceanside as an easy getaway for 3-4 days so are disappointed that your hotel underperformed. Would love to know if this even gets read. We do give the restaurant 333 five stars!!

Had the weirdest interaction with a security guard. Was on the phone one evening and he came up to me asking if I was staying at the hotel. I said yes and he asked me where my wrist band was. I said I left it in my room. He asked me for last name and room number and then went inside to check it. Because I was distracted while I was on the phone id given him the wrong room number. Apparently my name wasn’t showing up as registered. It became a whole thing and super uncomfortable. Once we’d identified the right room number then it was fine but no apology. Hotel staff were also not apologetic. Was the weirdest hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Beach view very clean room

It’s convenient to the beach. It’s centrally located so I was able to walk wherever I want to go.

Wonderful resort. Worth every penny.

Shower ,coffee supplies , no continental breakfast -

There was a lack of information either electronic or on paper/signs. The information on the internet noted a restaurant on the property. I wrongly assumed breakfast would be available. I was expecting a statement to be messaged or emailed to me after I checked out. I have not received any messages from the hotel. I am wondering how much they will charge for parking!

Check in was bad. Had to talk to a rude guy to get a wrist band as the keys. He got real personal and tried to sell us a time share there. We just wanted a room. For the price and the amenities a Motel Six would have been a better choice. An elevator did not work. The places to eat close buy were very limited and not many choices unless you drove somewhere. Would recommend this place or go there again.

Location, kitchen in room, laundry in room. Noise from pool, had to make several requests for soap, towels, etc. some responded to, some not. Valets were at times no where to be found & several smelled strongly of marijuana, even leaving the smell in the rental car. Bathroom sink had a strong smell

Very conveniently located in the heart of the downtown. The apartment that we had was well equipped and comfortable. The amenities that were there were few and less valuable. But that didn't matter as there was plenty to do around the city. Also the valet parking is expensive, but you can totally give that a miss as there is a very conveniently located parking lot right across the street that you can pay using an app.

We really like this property and the location is outstanding. Directly across the street from the pier. The staff are very nice and the property is very clean. Our room wasn’t facing the water and was facing the city side which was fine and it did have a nice balcony with chairs and a table which we used a bunch. This is part of a time share but the salespeople don’t pressure you for a presentation. We had an issue with our ac not cooling and Engineering came right up. It wasn’t something they could resolve right away and he did offer to move us to another room which was very nice but we decided to stick it out since it was cooling off anyway. Oh, the parking fee for the Wyndham garage is $40 a day which is Way high but there is a pay lot directly behind the building that is like $5.90 a day with plenty of parking .

The view from the pool was fabulous. The beach chair rentals were very reasonably priced. The room was a little older but clean. Loved the location right on the beach!!! Would definitely stay here again.

There was no breakfast included. However there were lots of eating places close by. It would have been good to have lunchtime food available on site.e
