Gorges Grant Hotel

Evidently new TVs had been recently ordered. We had to have 3 separate people come to our room to show us how to use the remote. An IT guy even came by and said he had to reprogram the whole set up of the TV. The remote was so small and the buttons so tiny that you couldn’t push a button without pushing both sides meaning you were pushing the up and down volume at the same time. The symbols on the remote made no sense, they looked like they were in a foreign language. When we finally located the guide on the TV we were able to access the “thousands of channels” available to us but what was offered was absurd. There was Lassie, Texas Ranger, the Andy Griffith Show etc. Very, very old sitcoms and movies but we couldn’t find current shows like The Voice, Dancing with the stars, World News with David Muir. And there were no numbers on the remote so every time we turned on the TV it was on Channel 1554 and when we tried to go to Channel 8 we had to arrow down one number at a time from 1554 to 8. To say the whole experience with the TV was frustrating is an understatement. We finally checked out the afternoon of the 15th instead of the 16th because we didn’t want to spend the evening in the hotel room without access to a TV. We are senior citizens and don’t go out at night. I told the front desk when we checked out early that I expected some sort of compensation for the TV problems….not a 1 night’s credit but just an acknowledgement of the bad experience we had.

this is a five star hotel. the rooms were clean and spacious. breakfast at Raspberri's was quite good and reasonable price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in process was smooth. Liked everything about this place.

I have stayed here for many years and I always find the same standard of excellence. Beds amazing, plenty of pillows, high quality of sheets and towels. Wish toilets were not so low, but otherwise totally pleased with stay. Nicely decorated inside and out, cookies and beverages offered. Many restaurants and shops in vicinity. Beach close by, lots to do and other interesting villages nearby. My favorite fall stop for a relaxing weekend!

We loved our stay at the Gorges Grant Hotel! The hotel is very clean and welcoming. And the rooms are so cozy! We had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning it was so comfortable. Walking distance to town but nice and quiet.

This hotel was perfect for our stay. The hotel is super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff at the front desk was great - I left my jewelry behind and the nice man at the front desk helped me find it! I would definitely recommend (also- this would be a great Christmas getaway- the lobby is very cozy and inviting)!

My only complaint is that the jets in the jacuzzi weren't working.
