Polite staff that gave us tons of local recommendations!

If you are looking to stay in Pacific Grove, it can’t be more convenient to shops and restaurants. Only a few minute car ride to Monterey. Despite the ridiculously high price, at least the valet is included. There’s nothing not to like, however for this price range, I think it could be more luxurious. Basic shower head. Low water pressure, bed is about an 8. To be fair though, prices are high in Monterey. Mary downtown assembly Price and charged for valet. One big plus at Kimpton: The food at restaurant is top notch! If you can include breakfast, it is worth it.

Location, walk ability, pet friendly, comfortable, great service, excellent onsite restaurant.

Pet friendly and great location

Excellent beds, excellent valet staff. Staff can't make change for a $20, hotel terribly understaffed, power system buzzes in bathroom, TV remote battery problem, no temp control in room, safe too small for laptops, inflexible restaurant menu/kitchen to accommodate food allergies, dust under furniture, water stains on bathroom fixtures, terrible lighting, room card required to activate room power, minibar instead of refrigerator, no microwave, room extremely overpriced for amenities and services.

Great stay

Clean, small, organized. Thought the dinner was mediocre and overpriced.

Really nice hotel in monterey, however, each morning at 6am there was lots of loud noise in the courtyard. We thought it was a train, but not really sure (maybe just restaurant preparation?). The courtyard was pretty and we actually saw a fawn and doe right from the front door walking in the street. Some small view which is nice too. I would return, hopefully with a reduction in the morning wakeup call.

Would be nice to have a Nespresso machine in the room

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at! The property is beautiful and the restaurant is great. The area is also wonderful to walk around.
-
A wonderful place to stay while in Pacific Grove. The Hotel is beautiful in all respects. The rooms are spacious, well appointed with everything you need. The entire staff is wonderful - helpful, professional and knowledgable. The hotel is a wonderful new addition to Pacific Grove. Fantastic location - a short walk to restaurants, bakeries, museums, beaches and the walking/hiking trails.

So beautiful and great location

Good room, great staff, onsite restaurant is incredible for breakfast. Free valet parking included. (For the cost this should be standard but usually isn't). Location is ideal for walks to Lovers Point. Pillows were downy and no firm option available. Mini fridge only on request. Shower bottles slide off the shelf and don't have mounts like most hotels do.

Unbeatable walkable location in beautiful Pacific Grove. Sparkling clean, well-maintained new hotel. Great rooms with nice amenities and stylish design. New restaurant with great options for breakfast. This is a pet-friendly hotel; it's unclear if rooms have had pets in them if you are allergic or uncomfortable.

Beautiful hotel and amazing location. Just a short walk to Lover's Point and the walking/bike trail. They had a complimentary happy hour when we were there with live music in the courtyard. Comfortable beds and a giant soaking tub. Had an excellent stay.

I stay at a lot of hotels with lots of amenities this place has it all we went out for three days had breakfast lunch and dinner everywhere let’s just say the food here is better than the whole area. The service is impeccable. Staff are amazing. Everything was perfect. definitely will come here more often.

I didn't really feel like the hotel staff were friendly. It wasn't that they were rude, but they just had blank expressions, and I barely even saw any staff around

The property is new, aprox 8 months and is clean and in a great area. The staff is friendly but they were having a company event on Friday night and when we had checked in on Thursday, the front desk made it clear that although the restaurant would be closed for Friday night, we would still be able to order room service. That didn't end up being the case and we ordered a pizza from a local restaurant and had it dlivered to the room. The person at the front desk did call me and say that she was sorry for the miscommunication and that they were giving us a $75.00 credit towards food for Saturday and I told her we were leaving early Saturday. No other communication was made from the hotel staff. As far as housekeeping, our room was dirty when we got back with a cleanning rag left on my nightstand and the bed made poorly. I did mention this to the front desk when I went to get coffee and all she said was "sorry"... I'll let my supervisor know".

Beautiful and spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly. They host a social hour where you can have some free drinks and meet new people! Valet is included in all bookings. The only criticism I have is that the room we were in must have been a connecting room because there was a door that opened to a shut door with no handle. We could hear the family next door speaking clear as day at times.

Stuff was rude. Obnoxiously rude
