Beautiful location and comfortable room. Great setup and nice newer look in the rooms. There was some mold in the shower tracks otherwise nothing bad to report.

I I'm limited on where I can stay because I have a little pug. But I picked the Tides, and I was very happy when I first saw it. It's beautiful, it's white, and the view of the ocean is fantastic. I was in a small room, a king-size bed, because I have the dog and don't need anything special. There was plenty of room to take her for walks. A lot of people had dogs. I was a little disappointed that there was a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. There's a restaurant next door that you can order from, but it's a small town and everything is very close. Anyway, I loved it. I'll be back, and I really enjoyed it.

The toilet did not work - flush, the room was very hot & noises coming from bathroom all night. Staff forgot to bring plunger after calling 3x for it

Clean and close to food and views. Very nice.

Shower didn't drain well, door to the back of the cottege wouldn't shut (although staff was able to close it), living room was moderately comfortable, no extra bedding in the room. Front desk provided additional bedding but accidentally gave us 8 pillow cases instead of a sheet which was an honest mistake but they really should have a spare set in the room. All in all not horrible but also not worth 500+ per night

This was a last-minute trip, and since we had never been to Pismo Beach, we were excited to visit. I booked The Tides Oceanview Inn and Cottages through Expedia for about $550 for two nights, choosing a “Partial Ocean View” room based on the reviews. Before arriving, I called the hotel and spoke with Denise, the manager. I explained that it was our first visit and that we were celebrating our anniversary. She was very brief and dismissive and never mentioned that the hotel is next to a freeway or that we would be assigned Room 203, one of the rooms closest to the road. I even told her I wasn't getting a good vibe about the Hotel. Unfortunately, my concerns were justified. Room 203 had extremely loud road noise and a bad disinfectant smell. The “Partial Ocean View” was also misleading—the room primarily faced the parking lot, and we had to step outside and look to the side to see the ocean. When I asked Jesus at the front desk for help, he said the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. He also said, “My manager has noted that she spoke to you,” which I found very condescending. Expedia tried to help relocate us but said the manager needed to approve a refund. Jesus said no manager was available until Monday, when we were already scheduled to leave. There were also no closets or hangers. When I asked for a chair, Jesus offered a plastic bathroom shower stool for our clean clothes. Overall, our anniversary stay was extremely disappointing, couldn't wait to leave.

For check in after 8pm it’s at the next property over. Decent & clean location. Worst thing during our stay was the water pressure from the shower as well as the sink. There was barely any water output. During warm summer, AC was suboptimal as well.

Location Cost was way over compared to other locations we have stayed in Area, Just Expected Better. Had to search out for items usually in Room

Rooms are decorated very cute. They are very spacious and well appointed. Parking gets really tight at night.
