Motel 6 Portland, ME

Plenty of parking. Lots of loitering outside. Dogs barking ….elevator did not work….. booked for two days on my second day. I slept in my truck instead of in the room.

This place was absolutely disgusting and nobody was helpful whatsoever. The whole hotel was gross and as soon as we got into the room it smelt like smoke and body odor. And we immediately had to leave even the bedding wasn’t clean. When going back down to the front desk we were not offered a refund or a new room we were pretty much out of luck. They will not give us a refund and neither will Expedia now I’m expected to wait almost a week to hear back from motel 6 on whether or not I get my money back and I think we all know they will decline it

Not much. Not enough counter space to put your stuff on. Black mold on the seat that crosses the bathtub. Needs a paint job. The air conditioner was next to the bed so you couldn't walk thru. Not enough area to put your suitcase on. Needed more space between the table and the bed. This place needs a face left. Needs refrigerator and microwave in the units.

Bad

The staff were great. We needed a room change because the smoke detector in our room was out of batteries and they immediately changed it for us. What's more, I left my wallet in the original room and didn't realize until the morning, but the staff found it and held it for me. The bed was comfortable enough and the shower was warm. There were zero amenities (not even shampoo/conditioner), the cleanliness was only passable (stained sheets and walls), the hallways and stairwells smelled quite poor, and the elevator was broken. It also isn't great there was a broken smoke detector in the first place. For $80, you get what you get.

The bed was comfy The room had a bad odor, I requested help from the front desk, but nothing was done.

Rough even for Motel 6 standards. Bring your own towels.

Our stay was just one night. The room was very clean, however the AC/heating unit and the bathroom fan was loud when it was on. Also the elevator was out of order. The shower was great and the staff was courteous and friendly. I would recommend Motel 6 for future stays.

Sink had red stuff all over it Fire Alarm was going off in room There was no one that had battery so they moved me New room had change and pills on floor Open soap from last person in shower In other words they did really bad job cleaning rooms Elevator didn’t work No hair dryer in room No shampoo Two small bars of wrapped soap Looked like someone hit with hammer as when you opened all in pieces

The staff were nice.

My room needs a little love. The curtain needs to be fixed, and corners in the bathroom should be scrubbed.
