Great property. Spacious and clean room. Hotel located on in prime location. Wish we had another day to enjoy all amenities. Would recommend to all friends and family

The location is fantastic and the rooms have charm, however, for the price, I expected a little more. The room layout was a bit odd… tv very far from the bed and other little things like no place to hang a rain jacket (a hook or two would do, or a coat rack). The bed was super comfortable and our garden-facing room was very quiet. We were there for our anniversary but there was no acknowledgment despite it being in the reservation. No big deal but little things go a long way when you’re spending a lot of money. The 35 amenity fee is easily used at their bar/restaurant but the use-it or lose-it model is a bit misleading, and for the amenities I feel they could have juice and soda on each floor. But the water and snacks were nice. I’d recommend this hotel but not if it went up in price any more.

From the moment we arrived, the Hilton Garden Inn Portland Downtown Waterfront exceeded every expectation. The room was spotless, spacious, beautifully appointed, and in the heart of the tourist section. Tour boats and trolleys, wonderful shops and restaurants are right there. This hotel is quiet, well designed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We slept like babies. Beginning with a warm greeting at check, every staff member made us feel welcome and valued. We were especially moved by the front desk and management’s attentiveness — they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. After we checked out, I realized I had left my wallet in the room. I can honestly say that I did not panic. I had a strong belief that the staff would retrieve it and send it to me. Two days later it arrived at my home with every ID, credit card and cash money still in it. This level of care and personalization is rare and truly memorable. Breakfast on site was how we started our day with traditional and continental fare that was fresh and satisfying. Our boat and trolley tours mentioned nearby famous restaurants that we happily tried for lunch and dinner. We went to relax, spend money, see a part of the country we had not visited before, witness the fall foliage, eat seafood and sleep. This ideal location satisfied our every whim, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious yet welcoming stay in the heart of the city.

This was our favorite hotel on our trip. The property is very clean and well maintained. The restaurant food was delicious. Valet service was great. Location in town was perfect very close to shopping and activities.

The food served in the bistro was exceptional - very fresh and tasty seafood. The bed was broken and creaked all night - we complained but nothing was done to resolve this. Very expensive for a poor nights sleep.
-
Great staff, great room. No parking, only valet. This place is walking distance to everything.

The property is in a great location that is walking distance to most everything. The rooms could be updated a little and there is a daily fee that you have to spend onsite in their restaurant, which I was not expecting….but overall great stay.
-
There was no in room mini bar, so it was challenging to spend the $35 per day mandatory food/beverage charge. The sound proofing between rooms with adjoining doors was not great. Could clearly hear every word of conversation. If you’re looking for a very nice boutique hotel, this probably isn’t your place.
-
Just okay, our room had issues, fireplace, noise from the heating or AC, toilet seat broken, PARKING GARAGE TO FAR AWAY, high cost for our room.

Every customer service touch points were excellent!

This hotel was perfectly located. We could walk to everything. It was easy to get in and out of, and the staff were very helpful. Our room was comfortable, and everything seemed upgraded, except for the bathroom needs to be remodeled.

We liked the “pantry” on each floor. Coffee and snacks were perfect!
