We always enjoy the VOCO in St Augustine. It’s a more adult like setting. Small quaint rooftop pool with Cabanas and sofas. Staff is great, rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Available transportation from hotel to Ampitheater or Historic District for small cash price. Fun place.

Would definitely go back! Location was perfect for us, very close to the locations we are frequently in town for. (eg the amplitheatre, the beach, small venues on the island) Room was very comfortable, front desk was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to check out. Cute little pool, and everything (parking, check-in, etc) was very easy. (I'll put one of my "negatives" here too) -- I don't think this hotel was geared towards kids... so that may be a positive for you. Not a problem for me on this trip (actually a bonus, but here's a heads up anyway)... it didn't seem like a hotel geared towards kids-- I'd pick a different hotel on a trip with my grandkids. The 2nd floor's balcony was closed for some work while we there (but other than that, everything was in order and working fine) -- The positives far out-weighed these small "negatives".

The Mexican lady at the front desk was very nice. The hotel was clean and a walking distance from the town.

Did not have one wink of sleep in 2 nights. Can. It explain just how loud the window air conditioner was. We were supposed to have two beds but once we checked in we were told a man was still in our room. Not sure if we got the loud air conditioner because we used booking?

Nice property, walkable. The only downside was the additional upcharge for self parking

great location and hotel

Perfect location! Helpful staff and walkable to several great restaurants!
-
Great location and very nice hotel. My only complaint is the room overlooked a small bar next door that was noisy until after 11 pm.

The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

It was definitely a very nice hotel

Everything that had been advertised online was a lie!! No rooftop pool w/ Caribbean style cocktails service,no dining restaurant, no inside bar offering cocktails, no free parking , they even charged you for morning coffee.,,no microwave in your room.. really disappointed. The staff was very apologetic, said new owners took over and had not changed the website! I chose /booked this hotel, sight unseen for all its amenities for 4 nights .. hoping to surprise my husband on his 80 th birthday .,, I was so upset to the point of tears.,

AC in the room wouldn’t cool below 74

Area is great. Close to everything. Beach was an 8 min drive. No complaints there. They requested a $200 hold on our card which is crazy. We’ve never had a hotel request that much. Also, My husband is a Veteran and part of IHC but we were denied late check out because the room wasn’t in his name. Yet they gladly took his card for that $200 hold. Just left a bad taste, so we won’t be back.

Unfortunately, staying at the VOCO felt more like staying at a Motel 6 than the experience we expected for the price. Our first room was dirty and clearly had not been cleaned thoroughly. We ended up having to ask the front desk to move us to another room. I will say, the front desk attendant was incredibly sweet, helpful, and accommodating, and we truly appreciated her assistance. Unfortunately, even after changing rooms, the overall stay still did not feel worth what we paid. To make matters worse, the guests above us were extremely loud until nearly 3:00 a.m., making it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep. For the price and the VOCO name, I expected a much cleaner, more comfortable, and higher-quality experience. Very disappointing stay.

It was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Very close to places to eat and explore. The pool was also very nice and cozy.
