What we liked was the location next to the Sutter Health clinics & Mel’s Kitchen connected to the hotel. The room was small with a window to the light well, not a great view for $450 a night, but that’s par for the course in San Francisco.

Good

Room had a bit of a musty odor to it, but the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

The hotel was clean and we loved the interior decoration and design. Having a bus stop directly across the road made exploring San Francisco much easier. The water pressure in the shower was terrible and we could hear the constant thumping from guests in the room above us. Being unfamiliar with San Fransisco we didn’t realise we were staying so close to the Tenderloin.

Great Location & very clean rooms

Parking was $50/night and sold out the first night. Other than that, it was a lovely property and very nice staff.

Location is biggest issue here - its not a place you can feel comfortable walking outside after dark. Shame too because the building is an old classic and well maintained and staff very pleasant. But safety and security is a big issue so we will not return on subsequent SF visits.

The coffee pot did not work.it spilled hot water out the reservoir.

Honestly, I should probably give this hotel all five stars. I gave it for only because I wish there were queen beds instead of full-size beds. But everything else was wonderful. I also did not think the area was bad at all. But we are from Portland so we're used to houseless people. Easy walk to Polk st for good food. A great bookstore down the street too. Mel's for breakfast hit the spot. The staff was so nice. Room clean and quiet.

Bad requested an ADA room on the first floor and they put me up on the 5th... Parking situation is not good they should let you know that you may have to park off site. I had a 88 parking and they let people Park in between which made it really difficult to leave in the morning when you could and even open the door and I require extra room to get in.. not a good situation

Just stayed 8/20-23. Very clean inside and out. Comfortable rooms and beds. Lovely staff. Easy parking. Convenient location. Would definitely book again
