The hotel was quaint but the room faced the wall and was rather underwhelming for $700.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the location was fantastic. The bellboys were very friendly and welcoming, and a special mention goes to the lovely lady at reception, who was incredibly kind and helpful. I had an amazing stay. The only downside was the unexpected $150 per night security deposit required at the check-in, which I wasn't aware before arriving. I needed to transfer money into my travel currency account, which was difficult without mobile data. Unfortunately I felt somewhat judged rather than supported in resolving the situation. A little more understanding, assistance with wi-fi access and a clearer explanation of the charges would have made the experience much more comfortable. Thankfully, the rest of my stay was fantastic.

Beautiful boutique hotel ideally located on Ocean Drive in Santa Monica. What makes it extra special is the genuinely nice and helpful staff. Warm and sincere greetings, helpful with accommodating special requests, and an amazing terrace with an ocean view for a delicious meal or drinks. Speaking of drinks, a really cute lobby bar serves some retro and modern cocktails worth a visit!

The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. Location is perfect. I would stay here anytime in would be going to the LA area. Our flight was delayed several times and it was over 100 outside. The staff allowed us to hang out in the library to help avoid the heat while we waited for our flight delays. Just Amazing!

I loved the nostalgic feel. Very well executed. Wish I could have stayed longer. The only thing wrong was one of the elevators was down but we got to use the service elevator and it felt more speakeasy. I loved every thing about this hotel.

view of the beach ventilation of bathroom was horrible. I did not like the food and liquor tray displayed on the credenza. I suspect that recovering alcoholics would have a problem.

Beautiful hotel with a great location. Staff was very helpful. I only got to stay one night. I booked a basic room due to the location and the fact that it was a work trip. One of the nicest rooms was available and the gentleman at the front desk asked if I'd like to upgrade. I accepted the offer and ended up staying in a great room with an ocean view. Honestly wish I could've stayed another day to enjoy the dining options. I will recommend to other friends. Thank you guys for a memorable trip in Santa Monica!
