Embassy Suites by Hilton Monterey Bay Seaside

Breakfasts were excellent, and i appreciated the use of real cutlery, plates glasses, and cups, not plastic or paper!! I also apprecated the hotel bike rental. This was my main source of transport in town. It would have been nice if there was an ebike option. I was in town for a memorial service, and we were all able to gather and linger over breakfast and coffee the morning after the event, and then over coffee until nearly noon. This is an absolutely wonderful feature of this hotel. And when I had a minor malfuncton in my unit, the hotel sent qualified staff to fix it within less than 5 minutes of when i called the front desk. Absolutely stellar! Also, the hotel is adjacent a large, beautiful park with plenty of trails and spots for quiet contemplation next to the big lagoon. Finally, although I arrived several hours before check in time, my room was ready, clean, and staff wer friendly and helpful in getting me settled right away--much appreciated given the serious and emotional reason for my visit. The a/c in my room was dripping condensate all over the kitchen floor. The coffee in the rooms was mediocre--a nespresso or keurig would have been better.

I don’t complain or like to interrupt my trips but the heater didn’t work in the hotel room and neither did the tv in the bedroom but other then that we enjoyed the bigger room

Great choices! Very professional and friendly staff!! No fan in the bathroom created too much steam; But I used the hair dryer to dry room Off!! Glad there was a hair dryer.

We loved breakfast. Everything was fresh and made to our liking If possible, please serve non pork proteins

Great hotel but staff and front desk was incredibly slow. Check in with nobody in line took 15 minutes. Needed simple blanket and pillows for pull out bed and got put on hold for 15 minutes by front desk. Ended up going down waiting in line for 15-20 minutes which seemed long to check in 1 person in front of me.

Clean and quiet room. Spacious for 3 of us. Very friendly staff. Love the “snack hour.”

The accommodations were very good. Also the Breakfast was exceptional.

The social hour and breakfast were great especially the made to order omelettes for breakfast!

Breakfast was good. Location was great. One plus to mention, the noise of the atrium area was moderate, but when you closed your room door. You heard nothing. For a one night stay, the prices were expensive. Some of the linens had stains and roughest towels ever.

Breakfast was great. A lot of choice and the omelet bar was awesome and the staff was great. I wish there were a pair of sleeper. The reason I gave 4 for maintenance was that there were mold in shower room, not working lights, and the light over bathroom sink was not bright. Other than that I enjoyed the staying at the hotel.

The pros: The check-in/out process was smooth and easy. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel lobby was clean and well curated. The evening complimentary drinks and snack reception and complimentary breakfast were a nice added bonus to the stay. The cons are solely based on the suite and housekeeping. The lighting was very poor, such as no lighting in the entryway and lack of lighting in the living quarters, There was no light switch in the bedroom to turn on any lights (you have to use the nightstand lamps which can be difficult to navigate to in the dark). The mattress and pillows were extremely soft, offering very little to no support, causing a very poor nights sleep. The drain in bath/shower combo wasn't draining properly, causing standing water while showering. The housekeeping left used towels in the room and didn't restock cups/glasses adequately. There were 3 occupants registered to the room but only had enough amenities for 2. Overall, it was a decent stay, but I would rate the BR experience a C at best, Taken in concideration the total cost of the hotel, I would most likely choose another the future.
