Days Inn by Wyndham Tallahassee University Center

This Days Inn was perfectly pleasant. At check in the front desk staff was great. She helped me make an adjustment to my reservation and ensured I had a ground floor room. (Be aware, this is a two story property with no elevator.) For the level of accommodations, everything was fine. Yes, the property showed some age, but everything was in good working order. The room was clean but dimly lit. And the mattresses were comfortable! Not much hanger space and the bathroom was small. Certainly reasonable given the style of property. And there were NO odd smells from either age, smoke, cleansers, etc. As for issues- the room needed at least one more lamp. There aren't many outlets by the desk/dresser. And the breakfast was a minimal affair. There was a small dehumidifier in the room that filled up about every 8 hours. But the room didn't smell musty etc, which was a great sign. These were all minimal issues in my book. Overall, I had a fine stay and would gladly stay here again!

Nothing fancy but staff was great

Rooms were well furnished and modern, however it was filled with mold and mildew . They even put in a portable dehumidifier. The mildew smell was very strong. I don’t think it was safe to rent out to be honest. We stayed b/c it was parents weekend, so there was no way we would find another place at a reasonable price, but I definitely left felling sick with nasal congestion and headache from the mildew smell.

The pool was very nice and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. It was a couple old women traveling and we felt safe. I really thought it was a good deal for the price.

When we got there and we walked into the lobby there was a very bad smell. So I asked the clerk if we could see the room before we check in to make sure it is acceptable. Because I never went to a hotel and the lobby smelled that bad. When we went to our room the floors in the hallway were all stained and there was plaster falling off the walls in the hallway. When we went into the room there was a very strong mold / mildew smell and those carpets were stained as well. So we did not even check in. Then we had to go around and round with booking.com and that Wyndham property to get our money back. It was very disappointing because we chose that hotel for two reasons. One was we had to go there because my mother had passed away a few days before and it was supposed to be a recently renovated hotel. Very disappointing. Nothing

Convenient

I liked how close Days Inn was to the Donald L. Tucker center where we needed to be for the weekend. When we arrived late Friday night/ Saturday morning the facility smelled musty and stale of cigarettes. There were stains under the pillow, on the bed covers and dead bugs in the hallway.

Property is old and worn out; however, the property was cream and friendly

The check in was smooth and friendly. Tanika was WONDERFUL! The breakfast was great! We were able to walk to the FSU game from this location, less than a mile. Great! The hotel is older, but well kept.

This hotel offers unbeatable walking convenience to the Florida State University campus with clean rooms, free parking, and very friendly staff.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. A/C was great. Staff was friendly & helpful. Very quiet at night.

Perfect location, room very comfortable, perfectly clean with all the necessary utilities. Awesome staff very welcoming and attentive to our needs.

Conveniently located to FAMU. Room had a musty wet smell. Other than that pretty good. No complimentary toothpaste. I didn’t bring toothpaste so I couldn’t brush my teeth. For hot breakfast they served biscuits, gravy, and sausage links. No eggs, waffles, grits, etc. They had coffee, juice, mini muffins, prepackaged oatmeal, apples, bananas, oatmeal cream pies, yogurt, and bread.

The room was a nice size. The bed was comfortable. The room was too dark. It needs more lighting or lamps. The bathroom was too small and needed more toiletries. There should be shower gel in the shower, not at the sink or in both places, and a shower cap would be nice.

The staff was welcoming when we arrived. The room was fine- it was clean and very spacious- a little dark in the room but otherwise fine. There was a small fridge and a microwave in the room, and a desk as well. The tv got lots of channels. The breakfast was the only negative- there was coffee but very minimal other items- a few pierces of fruit and some yogurt- if it was better stocked it would have earned the extra star on the review.

The staff was the best part of the stay. I booked a total of 3 rooms for my son’s graduation. 1 on the rooms did not have a working tv or any shower amenities (i.e. soap, shampoo, or conditioner). I had to use a hotel cup to get the shower gel from over the sink when showering. All 3 rooms smelled a bit moldy.
