My ac never really cooled down my room! Was sweating while sleeping! The hotel was conveniently located to the wedding I went to!

Clean rooms and friendly staff

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the treatment my son, his friends, and my family received at the Holiday Inn in Tinley Park. My son and his friends are respectful, well-mannered kids. Shortly after we arrived, an employee named Dev contacted my room and told me the kids had to leave. They were not running through the halls, causing a disturbance, or behaving disrespectfully. At the same time, there was a wedding party with several white guests walking through the hallways, being loud and visibly intoxicated, yet I did not observe them being approached or treated the way our kids were. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past and have never had an issue, which made this experience even more upsetting. After Dev told me the kids had to leave, I instructed them to go downstairs to the pool, where my aunt was already supervising them. Dev then came into the pool area and yelled at the kids that they needed to get out and stated that they “didn’t belong here.” My aunt explained that the children were guests and were with her, but he continued insisting that they had to leave. When my aunt called me and told me what happened, I immediately went downstairs and spoke with Dev at the front desk. He continued saying the kids needed to leave. At that point, I requested a refund because I was not going to pay to stay somewhere where my family felt targeted and unwelcome. Dev told me that they did not issue refunds. I told him that I was not leaving without addressing the money I had already paid and asked him to contact the police if necessary. Check-in was at 3:00 PM. I arrived around 4:15 PM, and by approximately 5:15 PM, all of this had already happened. The children had only been swimming for about 20 minutes. When the police arrived, Officer Vinci was professional, understanding, and impartial. I truly appreciated how he handled the situation and attempted to help resolve the conflict. When I got to the property I was charged another $50 Was happy that they let us check in early but we had to check out early as well and was not able to eat breakfast that I'm sure was in the price

Room was clean and comfortable.

This Holiday Inn is good, better than some others I’ve stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was relatively clean and quiet. Shower Pressure is too low for a quick refreshing shower.

We missed out on breakfast due to sleeping in but I appreciate the option Our shower drain was clogged and kind of gross to shower in because it filled up right away

The location was ideal for the venue we was attending. The prices were very high for the room and ammenties we were given. No breakfast, which we knew about. But at those prices, the hotel could have been in better shape. Parking could have been better and 2 working elevators would have been nice.
