Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground

The location and staff. The shower was gross, had hairs in it, didnt drain properly and super old. The ac was spotty. The internet was so slow we couldn't use closed caption and my husband is deaf. The noise from the freeway was insane.

Rooms were in good shape and right next to each other. Appreciated the coffee maker and refrigerator

Very clean, super comfortable, walking distance to Disneyland entrance. Water-play area and also a separate pool which is great to cool off mid day. Room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Plenty of places to eat right next door. Highly recommend.

Our whole family had an amazing stay! The resort is very clean and the staff are friendly. There are wonderful pools, quiet and peaceful. We loved the calm vibe here, and the pools are cleaned every day. You can see Disneyland fireworks from the property, and it’s only an 8-minute walk away. There is a small shopping area nearby, and bus 460 right outside the entrance takes you to Santa Monica Beach. Highly recommended for family vacations!

The convenience of being walking distance to Disneyland and restaurants 😀

When we got there, we didn’t realize the whole hotel was under construction, so that was pretty frustrating, especially how expensive it is. We had to rock around the whole building to get to our room, and we had to use the long way around the whole hotel just to use the amenities. It was pretty bad. When we got to our room, we immediately noticed that it wasn’t that clean and to top it off after a long day at the park, the shower never got hot and the tub would fill up with water because it would come out of the showerhead and the tub at the same time, so we were always standing in a puddle of water. Also, it was pretty scary having little kids and the lock on the sliding door was broken, so we had to block the sliding door with chairs. We shouldn’t have to do all these extra steps for something so expensive. We probably won’t be staying there again.

Family friendly

Our a/c didn’t work and it took twice for them to get it working. The grout had random mold spots in the bathroom, there was long brown hair on the bath faucet and on newly placed towels after housekeeping came, the ice machine on our level was broken, and it felt like we were being gaslit by the front desk. The only thing I called about was the a/c and asking for housekeeping twice in our week long visit. The second time I called at 8 am where they scheduled housekeeping to come between 8:30 and 12:30 so we went to breakfast and did what we could to stay out of the room until then. When we got back to our room at 12:30 after being at the pool for 2 hours, it had not been done and the housekeeper was at lunch. We had to wait another hour. We are a family of 5 with 3 young kids. We waited in the lobby area of our building. Btw their hallways don’t use a/c and we were there in a heat wave of 95°-102° and I’m also 5 months pregnant and needed a place to cool off and rest after all day at Disneyland. One great shout out though, the life guards at the pool and water playground were top tier. Friendly and attentive without being authoritative. They are the only reason there is a 3 star and not a 1.

The location of the property was perfect! I would absolutely stay here again.

Nice stay, very nice staff

This hotel was very nice and walking distance to Disney. The staff was all very nice and helpful. It was one the first hotels that I have stayed in for a long while where there was virtually no noise that you could hear during the night. Very well maintained and located within walking distance from restaurants as well.

Awesome place to stay. About 15 minutes walk to the front gate of Disneyland. Were able to go to the parks early and then come back for a swim in the midday heat. Would come back again next time.

Close proximity to restaurants and disneyland. Staff were very accommodating to us arriving early and checking in. It seems to always be under construction. Last time we stayed it was a games room that still doesn't seem to be there. The skylight in our room wasnt expected it was hard to sleep in but then most days we were up early so it didnt matter
