I've stayed here many times over the years. It's very convenient to U C Berkeley and downtown Berkeley. It is generally an excellent hotel. I just wish their mattresses were a lot more firmer.
-
I have stayed at the Shattuck a few times now and it would be difficult to stay anywhere else close to UC Berkeley. It is so well worth it. I feel rested here and well taken care of. I take the BART from the Oakland airport to downtown Berkeley. And when I get off the Hotel is right across the street. The food at the restaurant is amazing. About to book my next stay here in a few months.

The staff was absolutely amazing and made our stay seamless and enjoyable. The location was very conveniently located, and the rooms were super clean. We didn’t get a chance to dine in, but they had a lovely bar and restaurant space just off the lobby.
-
Lovely hotel and courteous staff. We had a couple small issues with our room that were handled quickly by the gracious front desk and maintenance team. Derrick at the front desk was especially helpful and we appreciated his hospitality and warm demeanor.

The housekeeping service wasn't very thorough.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff is friendly and attentive while some of the rooms may seem a bit small. They are comfortable. The bar was nice and prices were reasonable.
