The receptionist was the sweetest. Check in was a breeze and the resort was quiet with a lovely pool and sauna area. The room was clean and spacious! Would definitely stay if we are in the area again!

The Inn on Pine was an excellent hotel! We were greatly surprised once we walked into the room. The hotel is located in a neighborhood, so it's a little deceiving. Once we arrived after a drive from San Francisco, the staff was great. Fortunately, our room was ready and they let us check in a little early. As soon as we walked in the room, you could tell that it had been thoroughly cleaned. The room was well taken care of! The location is very close to many of the wineries on the north end of "wine country." The great part about it was that it was far enough away to keep us out of most of the traffic. Another great aspect is that Downtown Calistoga is only a couple of blocks away, so it was very easy to walk to. After our winery tours each day, we would get back to our room and walk to dinner each night. The restaurants we ate at were very excellent and a 5 minute walk away. One extra note I would like to add. There is a refrigerator in the room, but not a freezer. We were traveling with medication that had to remain refrigerated. As we were flying, we did not have a cooler. I have a travel container for medication, but it requires the insert to be frozen for travel. The night before we left, I asked the hotel staff person (possibly the owner as she lived on-site) if there was some way I could get the insert frozen. She took it from me, put it in her freezer and delivered to our room at 7:00 am the next morning just when we needed to leave. OUTSTANDING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The room was small but very clean. We were there mid-week and had the pool all to ourselves. Very close to restaurants and shops. We walked it with no problem.

Great location. Clean. The bed and pillow combination were slightly less than ideal for my back and neck.

I liked the location which was walkable to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood. The property was well maintained and clean. The rooms were a nice size with a great shower and small kitchenette area. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the homemade granola. We would definitely stay there again.

Love the pool and hot tub! Our king bed in room 3 tilted downward to the wall.

Our stay at the Inn on Pine was outstanding. The hotel was charming and offered everything we needed for our stay. The staff was warm and helpful and responsive. The location was absolutely perfect for a stay in Calistoga, a short 2-3 block walk to all the action downtown and a block off the road that leads to the rest of Napa Valley.

Nice, clean, large and comfortable room. Beautiful pool and Jacuzzi area and very good breakfast. Easy 10 minute walk to downtown restaurants and shops. Personnel is very friendly and one feels being taken care of.

The Inn is quaint and charming on the outside and modern and comfortable on the inside. The layout reminds us of a 40’s motel, with individual access from the outside. The grounds are nice and maintained, and very peaceful considering you are only a block from the main road. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a light breakfast served for a couple of hours in the morning that is simple, but fresh and flavorful. Cookies, coffee, and filtered water and ice are available all hours. The motel is located just blocks from downtown Calistoga, so walking to and from dinner or wine tasting was super convenient. We would definitely stay here again! If you are someone who likes to sleep-in on vacation or when you are traveling, this is NOT the motel for you. The staff start very early on cleaning rooms that have been vacated, and their cart is very loud on the “boardwalk” styled sidewalk. The laundry and general maintenance room are right next to rooms 11 and 10, so you hear them every time they go in and out of the heavy doors as they shut. While we were there, they also were working on some maintenance issues and had drills, saws, and sanders going as early as 8:00. There was no way you could sleep through the noise, even with earplugs. The bed would have been comfortable but the mattress seems to be “broken down” on the edges of the bed. As long as you can stay away from the edge, it was okay.

    Exceptional

Our stay was very relaxing; we truly enjoyed the fact that the air conditioner was really quiet and we were able to relax in peace! So close to downtown, but a little bit out of the way allowed for a wonderful weekend of R&R! Thank you for a great stay!

Great location for a short walk to central Calistoga. Good sized rooms with sinks, frig, small coffee pot and microwave (as needed). Easy parking. Robes and towels for pool. Just dont get a room backing up to hot tub if you want quiet after 10. Posted "closed" time not enforced!

This stay was a highlight of a 2 week family road trip. We had 3 rooms & all agreed we'd love to stay much longer than we did. Rooms were roomy & had jacuzzi tubs. There was a nice pool area with a lovely view. The staff was very hospitable. The inn is easy walking distance of all the downtown restaurants. The breakfast ,while light, was better than I expected. That we had to leave so soon!

I've stayed there before, with a friend in town who doesn't have a guest room. VERY walkable to restaurants/stores (and my friend's house). It's not fancy .... but it's very comfortable/accommodating (including breakfast) -- and matches the price.
