The room was beautifully done and the property on the lake is absolutely beautiful! The food at the restaurant on the property was delicious and you were able to sit indoors or outside overlooking the lake! A memorable stay and worth every penny!

Great location, great staff, great breakfast. Will stay there again for sure.

Very nice small inn along the waterfront and easily walkable to the town of Cazenovia. Large rooms with modern bathroom and other amenities coupled with an excellent restaurant offering lakeside views.

Everything was perfect except the shower was cold. Restaurant was fantastic

It is a charming, old nineteenth century inn and they have maintained it accordingly; it certainly has character. The restaurant's lake view is an amazing perk of this property. They do provide a daily turndown service, which is a very nice touch. But unfortunately, that is where the positives stop. The listing claims it is a 4 star hotel, but it is far from it. It simply does not have the amenities to clear that bar; there is no pool, room service, gym, valet, or concierge. There isn't even coffee, tea, or a kettle in the room; instead, these are shared with all the other rooms on the second floor. Furthermore, the room itself smells heavily of an old attic as soon as you enter. The included breakfast is abysmal, especially considering that the glowing Google reviews mostly praise the restaurant rather than the hotel. It consists entirely of prepackaged food nothing hot or fresh other than the waffle you can make yourself. Even the hard boiled eggs are packaged and clearly a day old. While most of the staff are helpful and nice, the front desk can be hit or miss. Additionally, evenings are chaotic and a total nightmare for parking because of the popular restaurant this place is famous for. The only reason to book this property is for its vintage character. Unfortunately, it does not have any other redeeming qualities.

The sheets were horrible!!! They had tons of peeling spots. Everything else was fine. They just need to buy better sheets.
-
The air/heating systems need to be upgraded - noisy. No ceiling fan. Tech charging system needs all types. Room was nice and bath too

Quiet and quaint with an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant

Great food. Fantastic view. Neat bar. Friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay! The facility was very nice; we had clean room, with a comfortable mattress, and all of the staff were terrific. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant Saturday evening. Information for folks considering a stay. Keep in mind this is not a bed and breakfast with homemade breakfast, but rather an Inn, with a full and wonderful Continental breakfast. It may be difficult for folks with bad knees; the guest rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor, although someone will help with luggage. Also if there's an event parking may be tight. These are certainly not breakers, this is one of the nicest Inns we've stayed at! We had such a great experience and enjoyed the sunset over the lake!

Beautiful room 3, wonderful view. Quiet, comfortable beds. Staff was kind and friendly, definitely a return trip.

Evening Dining room hours were a bit short for our purposes, so we were unable to partake in food or beverages. Room was very nicely appointed. Jacuzzi tub was lovely. Heater/Air Conditioner was a bit noisy. Additional bedside electric plug for CPAP would be appreciated.

Beautiful property on the lake in the quiet, charming town of Casenovia, NY.

Staying at the Brewster Inn makes me feel more like I’m staying at a rich relatives house lol The setting, is absolutely beautiful along the lake. The main house gives great character. I feel like there is one thousand stories to be told, when I look inside and the carriage house where I stayed is beautifully done with very spacious and quiet rooms.

Only reason for not getting full stars - the breakfast was extremely subpar even for continental. I've been to mid tier motels/hotels where the included continental is serve yourself hot food, waffle maker, etc. The options at this inn were minimal and not of great quality. It was also set up in a small area that was difficult to manage when other guests came in. I expected much better, especially when they have a full restaurant kitchen in house. This definitely needs to be improved, really not acceptable for this special of a location and the price to stay there. Almost makes me rate 3 stars. Otherwise, the place is beautiful. Our room was in the carriage home, second floor with cathedral ceilings and original exposed beams. It was huge, clean, and felt luxurious. Dinner at the in house restaurant was delicious, our server was great, and we had a perfect spot on the patio to watch the sunset over the lake. Would be appreciated if guests of the inn received even a 5% discount for meals considering most of the people that ate there were not actually staying at the inn.
