Quaint place right in the heart of everything. Older hotel so be aware you can hear everything outside.

Built in the 1800s but the staff is attentive in the place as well maintain the pub downstairs Service delicious food and great drinks and has a wonderful friendly staff just like upstairs in the hotel I would definitely stay there again!

3 flights of steep stairs with luggage was very hard. Breakfast was awful. Boxes of cereal and nothing homemade. Not our idea of a bed and breakfast. Would definitely not stay again

It's a beautiful property, and the king suite was very spacious. The location is phenomenal in walking distance to everything. The tavern downstairs was a huge plus with great food. We unfortunately only stayed one night and ran in to several issues during that time so overall did not have a great experience. The bed was extremely old, sunken, and noisy, and we lost power in the bathroom for the whole night. When we told staff in the morning they said the owner wasn't there so they would get to it when they could... we left early because we could not shower or get ready with the bathroom out of order.

Much of the property is shabby, worn and tired. The public areas are in better condition than the rooms. Our bed was weird--the bed frame was significantly longer that the mattress and box spring. We wound up bumping into the footboard way too often! The sink, while quite new, was free standing and offered no place to set a cosmetic or travel case. Very awkward and inconvenient. The Continental breakfast was available until 10:00am, but when we arrived there were 4 empty coffee carafes and 1 half-filled with lukewarm coffee. We had to clear a table for ourselves and several of the food selections were unavailable as evidenced by the empty serving plates. No staff showed during the 25 minutes we were there. The dining room was nice and the food was quite good. The following day we had lunch in the Tavern. That was really good. We were disappointed with the accommodations and when we were ready to check out, there was no one at the desk, even though we waited for some time. Not going back.

Cute hotel. Clean, friendly staff. Continental Breakfast was not great and only 3 tables to sit at. Overall, it was fine.

We enjoyed the historic ambience. Felt like going back in time.

Comfortable, friendly, well-maintained, gracious old hotel. But rooms do not have refrigerators, microwaves, or coffee machines. The entire hotel does have wi-fi. Our rate included breakfast. If you want to relax and enjoy an old way of living, this is an excellent place.

Room was filthy. Behind the bed and box spring look like they’ve never been cleaned. The property is old and historic, it’s a shame the cleaning crew has allowed it to turn to filth. No elevator, so not accessible and no staff to help carry bags, stroller, etc.

Nice historic hotel in center of town. Beautiful dining rooms, tavern, patio, lounge. Room was comfortable.

Always enjoy my stay here. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and plenty of food options available in the hotel itself.

Lovely find, bed was excellent, tavern is a great addition, the food was great.

Cool historic hotel right on the main street of town.

  • Engine customer Sep 2026

Lovely staff, an excellent tavern, and great character

The water pressure in the bathroom sink was poor. A little noisy on the street side, which was where our room was, during the day. Could sleep well at night with reduced street noise. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. A formal restaurant and additional pub/dinner on site was also nice. Breakfast was sufficient. Would stay here again.
