Wonderful stay at this Bed and Breakfast. Our room was spacious and decorated nicely. The ballroom is very nice and includes some history of the house. The afternoon tea served in the ballroom is a nice treat. The patio in the back is also very nice with tables and umbrellas. We appreciated the ice cold water bottles everyday! Breakfast served in our room was delicious - I tried mango chutney for the first time - yummy! If it wasn’t for the heat, I would have loved to sit on the patio in back. We also enjoyed the location - quiet, but a short walk to everything we wanted to do.

Everything about our visit was perfect, from booking, to checkout! Natalie went above and beyond when I ordered flowers for our arrival. Everyone at the desk was so helpful. Can’t wait come back!

We loved our stay here and hope to repeat it! It's a beautiful house that has been carefully restored and is beautifully maintained. The concierges were fantastic - and we really tested them! Breakfasts, which can be served at your request in any one of 3 locations, were delightful, and our server Maurice was lovely, seeming to pay special attention to make sure that our food and beverages were just right. The room was large, the shower had great water pressure, and though it was hot and muggy outside, we were comfortably cool in our room. Beds were excellent. This house is within easy walking distance of nearly everything. It has a small parking lot with the cheapest daily rate of any hotel we considered. Stay here!( and be sure to check out the Preservation Society Store nearby!)

Great property and dog friendly, too!

Wonderful experience. The building is beautiful and it takes you back in time a bit. Great service!

This is our new favorite place to stay in Charleston! We have been going to Charleston for many, many years, and realy enjoyed our stay. The cook to order breakfast was delivered to our room each day. The staff was so nice and helpful, and the room was very spacious and the best shower my husband said he has had in years! Afternoon tea was such a nice break also. Very peaceful and relaxing setting.

It was a great stay
-
Quiet location providing easy walking to most of the historic and museum sites as well as restaurants aplenty. Charleston provides a downtown area shuttle (DASH) if walking is an issue. Good included breakfast with many options. Friendly staff. The accommodations are not opulent but they're comfortable and enjoyable. The draw is the history of the building and the area. The other guests were all friendly. No one was there with a "one percenter attitude."
-
Exceptional across the board. The staff was beyond hospitable, friendly, welcoming, and genuinely nice people.highly recommend this place for a true southern hospitality experience. Location was excellent as well. I’ll be back.

Location was great. Staff was great. Room was nice with a charm to it. Snacks and breakfast were wonderful.
-
Great stay. The carriage house was located central to downtown Charleston and walkable to all the great activities downtown. Staff was friendly.
-
Great breakfast! Only thing is no elevator for the luggage Other than that location is great , the rooms are big and beautiful, the shower is very nice. The town is small and you can walk all day!
-
Large restored rooms on south borde of french district.

Had an amazing experience. Would highly recommend. Great location right in the heart of the historic dsitrict. Staying here is a destination by itself. Will definitely come back next time. The service is so personalized and friendly and has an old world charm that is so rare in these times.
-
We stayed in back carriage house with lovely view of the courtyard. Very quiet and private. Exceptional breakfast service. Great location can walk all over the historic downtown. Loved it!
-
Hospitality at its absolute finest! The small details make a huge difference. You definitely feel like you’re in the upper echelon of society while staying there. Centrally located but yet you feel like you’re far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Tea time was a nice treat in the afternoon and breakfast options are the same as a diner.

Very quaint, staff were very welcoming. Room was lovely. Afternoon tea and evening drinks were really nice! The only drawback is the lack of an elevator.
