Superb

Located near the Chicago river, just off Michigan avenue, the location is super convenient. Easy to get to shops, shows, restaurants and transportation. Unfortunately, when entering our room, we were greeted by a cockroach. To the credit of the staff, however, they very quickly re-roomed us and provided an extra basket of complimentary snacks.

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great, close to parks, the river walk , restaurants, the theater district, everything you need is available.

Great location !! And great value

The location was great. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable sitting areas in lobby. However, for the cost of accommodations, the room was terribly small and on the front of the building so very noisy with the street below. Yet the bathroom was beautiful. Large enough and well maintained. Towels were so soft. Restaurant wasn’t anything to give a shout out nor was the coffee/tea table in the morning. Just the basics. It would’ve been nice as well as having some complimentary offerings, 24/7, of coffee, tea and water dispensers with some healthy snack options instead of “The Shop” with a multitude of costly, processed foods. In the morning or coming in later at night you sometimes simply want a small snack and a water or tea. We would like to stay here again but not sure we will. For us, the cost wasn’t worth the amenities.

Location Nothing, all was good

Clean room, reasonably priced... Our room had been renovated and as someone with allergies, I appreciated the tiled floors, over carpet. The common spaces are awkward and dated, but that was not what we were looking for. We wanted a clean room, with a comfortable bed, and the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown Riverwalk more than delivered in this aspect. The bed and the pillows were VERY comfortable. The room was quiet for the most part. There is some noise on the weekend from the nearby venues, and we had noisy neighbors Saturday night, but all were quiet by a reasonable hour, and did not impact our sleep. This is a convenient location for the Loop, River North, and Riverwalk, along with other sightseeing. There is easy access to the "L" and navigation around the city.

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. It was not loud with doors slamming all night. It was in walking distance of most things.

Everything was good. Disappointed in breakfast not being a buffet style and minimal options but otherwise enjoyed our stay.

This was my first time in the city of Chicago. I was very happy with my choice of where to stay. It's in a great location. Close by was the Riverwalk, which was gorgeous. You could walk it or utilize the seating provided and just enjoy the sights and sounds. There are so many choices for dining nearby within walking distance, and we hit a lot of them during our four-day stay. Millennium Park is nearby, which was very nice. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful with recommendations. The lobby provided a great seating area if you just wanted to relax or maybe work on your laptop. They have a concession area for snacks and a restaurant if you didn't want to venture out. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and I enjoyed my stay very much. This will be my go to place when I return to this beautiful city.

Very nice and convenient hotel!

This hotel was in a great location within downtown. We felt safe walking around at night too. When we checked in we weren't told anything about the breakfast area or the amenities, just asked what name the reservation was under and given our keys. I almost felt like I was interrupting the employees. The rest of the time we were greeted when we entered and exited. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others.
