The property was in excellent condition. Clean and well maintained. On par with Hilton Garden suites.

Clemson was on its fall break so their student workers at the hotel were away. This meant that there were no amenities. No restaurant services or any other service beyond a bed. Certainly patrons making a reservation during this time should be notified that they will have to fend for themselves for breakfast, lunch dinner or even a drink. It was not a hotel, it was little more than a motel.

We had a nice brief stay at the inn the night before our tour at Clemson. There was a bit of an issue with parking due to there being an event at the center while we were staying there. Other than that, it was super convenient to the admissions/tour location and I would recommend it for anyone who was going for a tour at the University.

Room was very nice and clean. We checked in later in the evening and the staff at the front desk was not welcoming. We were not greeted and no information was offered. They just took my name, payment and said thanks. Not hospitable. Checkout (morning staff) was completely different, a lot more professional.

We had a wonderful stay at the James F. Maren Inn in Clemson! The inn has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and is a beautiful place to stay while visiting the area. The rooms were comfortable and inviting, and the overall experience felt relaxing and special. The location was convenient for enjoying Clemson and everything the area has to offer. The hospitality and attention to detail really made our visit memorable. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay at the James F. Maren Inn again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and charming place to stay in Clemson!

Very clean. Very well kept. Very quiet. Quick and easy ride to campus to see my child. The one and only drawback was the shower water pressure. It could have been a lot better. Overall would definitely stay there again!

Nice quiet location! Front desk employee at check in and check out was not very friendly at all. He didn’t make us feel welcome at all. We did like that they had a Starbucks onsite. The rooms are nice a bit dated but beds were comfortable and room was clean. The Sole on the Green restaurant has a beautiful view but food was subpar for the prices charged. Wouldn’t recommend! Overall a pretty ok stay when visiting Clemson.. not 5 star but at-least it was clean, quiet and comfortable.

I was surprised to see no real updates in the rooms since our last stay in 2015. Only one way to charge a phone, a clock on one side of the bed. The iron was leaked, just a lot of updates needed.
