Courtyard by Marriott Des Moines West Clive

The staff was really great! Rooms very clean! Def will stay again!

The rooms were nice and clean but that’s about where the good ends. They charge guests to park in their parking lot to spend the night in a room we are paying for. The water bottle they place in the rooms is not complimentary even though there isn’t a sign stating you will be charged $5 for using it. Every front desk employee we dealt with and the lady for breakfast was incredibly rude and unhappy. We showed on our booking where is said we paid for breakfast for all our family (5 people). They said we only choose to pay for 2. Why would we won’t want 2 people fed?! They grudgingly gave us 4. The total would’ve been $80.00 for 4 simple breakfasts. Hot tub had so many bugs climbing into it. We killed 5 beetles and a centipede and then ended up leaving the hot tub.

Clean room, comfortable bed, gym facilities and pool/hot tub were clean. Coffee bar at hotel, little balcony was a nice addition.

There was no breaksfast provided with the room stay. Up on checkin the clerk verified that I had marked breakfast but gave no explanation of how the bistro works. When I went to ordet the clerk only aasked if it was here or go and I said here. There was never a request for room number etc so I paid $18 cash for my food. Most hotels provide breakfast. Had I known that I had to buy breakfast, I would have stayed somewhere else or have gone to McDonalds.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. Hot water. Good water pressure. Restaurant was closed. Had to pay for parking. Key card sometimes didn't work.

Room was very clean

Very close to highway noise

The male staff (2) were not very friendly or welcoming.

Would love to give 5 stars but the new daily parking charge (new at some point since last fall) was not mentioned on Expedia OR at check-in. Not about the money but this type of thing needs to be disclosed, in particular since it's new.

Property was very clean , comfy beds , but the hotel was just oddly placed in a weird area and they had no complementary coffee , which was weird , it was the weekend and before 9am they got rid of the coffee ( there’s a Starbucks inside and only open like 2 hours out the day )the water with fruits look like it never got changed they just kept adding water in it and I was there for 2 nights. WiFi wasn’t the best ..

Very clean Aged with dated fixtures

.

I have allergies and it was great to have a pet free hotel (I like animals, but can't have them all over my furniture/bed!) that isn't moldy. It's also quiet. I sleep very well in this hotel.

Great Stay. Clean, Excellent Customer Service.

Good

It's your basic hotel and does what's expected. There is no continental breakfast so that was a bummer.

No free breakfast, ice machine didn’t work and they made you leave the court yard at 10PM

The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful. They suggested that I sign up for the rewards program so they could waive the parking fee. The hotel room was clean and all amenities worked great. Overall a wonderful stay!

Very good

The room was very clean and we enjoyed your stay. We will definitely return.
