We stay here often and really like the location and overall look of the place for the value. But, it's starting to look a little rundown in places ( bathroom tiles cracked, floorboards chipped, etc.) Not bad, but starting to look old.

Great check-in and room. Breakfast had choices and hot items. Good overnight, one night stay in DSM. Next to lots of restaurants!

Pleasant clerks at check in and rooms clean

Great place for family
-
Wonderfully upscale hotel in a safe, inviting community. Free secure parking on the streets and in covered garage. Always book out-of-town guests here!

Great staff and property. Just very dated
-
We loved the place. Clean room and really nice breakfast.

The property is charming! Some of the furnishings are dated but very well maintained, giving a rustic feel. Only complaint was the water pressure in the shower. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hope to stay again when we pass through this area.

Nice location

Lovely front desk ladies. Room 101 was a suite and first impression was that it was very clean and the carpet was pristine. The room felt like a premium lodge/cabin and very homey with the heater on for us. Comfy bed. Soft sheets. Good pillows. Breakfast was light and good quality.

Fantastic value
-
Friendly and helpful employees plus cozy atmosphere. Large clean windows, but did not have sheer curtains so had to keep the 1st floor curtains closed. Also could hear noise when doors were locked - people talking in hallway at 2:30am and then kitchen noise at 3:45am. After traveling all day was looking forward to hot tub that was not working.

The breakfast was exceptional

I would stay again, and highly recommended
-
wonderful hotel but they could upgrade their toilets as they are kid size, they belong in a preschool setting. Tall people will have a hard time with those.
